Response to: reverse effects? Posted August 27th, 2011 in Audio

reverse delay?
in fl studio you can just grab a big chunk of audio drag it into the playlist, then select one section that's like .10 seconds long and repeat that clip X times (space it wisely) and then stretch it back so that you have the audio clip that you first selected and click the reverse box in channel settings

(i'll just post this if it isn't obvious)

Response to: I need lyrics for a song Posted August 25th, 2011 in Audio

keep trying you not going to have gold on your first try, or if it's the case were everything you come up with is complete crap then I can't help sorry :(

Response to: I need lyrics for a song Posted August 25th, 2011 in Audio

come up with a melody and freestyle the lyrics, if its good then write it down.
You can then expand upon it by using imagery and unrelated words.
You can also go into different subjects and manipulate the meaning to express an entirely different idea and get the emotion that you want.

This last part is very important, record the song, and listen to it a day or two later, If really like your song then your ready to show it to her

it's all good....have you tried building from the vox cuts; without planning the track ahead, making it up as you go along (basically the opposite of good common sense)

So I'm wondering, anyone who's good at cutting vocals want to collab? lol
I really want to learn how to how to cut vocals WELL

1. its exactly the same technique as beat slicing. You just have to edit the waveform in milliseconds to get good cuts without any clipping.
2. You need to adjust the volume envelope of each individual cut , for really short vocal clips just turn up the decay on your reverb, it should fade out into air.
3. To combine different cuts just intersect the fade in and the fade out between two cuts
4. Listen for the vowels
5. make sure the vocal cut accents at least one beat in each phrase.

play with the envelopes and lfo's in the channel settings, you can also alter the sample rate, you can automate waveshaper on and off to get percussive hits in your synth lines

Genres' popularity comes and goes, times change (indeed). However, it's not because it isn't popular that people don't make it any more; look far enough and you'll find it.

Anyway here go audio advertisements.

I do to if that's any consolidation

Response to: Why you make music? Posted August 21st, 2011 in Audio

the real reason why is out of a intense dissatisfaction of the music of which I think is mediocre. I arrogantly think I could do better ( but sadly I can't)
