First of all, I'm a Roman Catholic and I've got Asperger's Syndrome and ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) so don't start abusing this thread because of that.

Scientology, in my opinion, has started to think it can say what it wants and get away with it. No it cannot and that applies to everyone on Earth. For me, the two issues with Scientology are that it claims that all religions bar it are fake and that ADHD does not exist.

According to the "Church" of Scientology, Christianity and all other world religions are fake because they were part of a galactic warlord's genocidal plan of dealing with overpopulation in his empire which existed some 75 million years ago. To deal with this problem, Xenu had people taken away in spacecraft that looked like DC-8s (minus propellors/fans) and brought to Earth where they were put around the bases of Earth's volcanoes and blown up with hydrogen bombs which had been lowered into these volcanoes. The souls of the victims were then captured by Xenu's forces and subjected to brainwashing which involved showing them images including religious figures thus "clearing" the confusion away. The result was that thetans (the victims' souls) follow religions such as Islam, Judaism, Buddhism and Christianity and all the other religions without realising it. I think that this is an attack on the world faiths because they are much older than Scientology and can be called religions whilst Scientologists believe the word of a known liar.

The other problem I have with Scientology is their claim that ADHD doesn't exist - IT DOES! I have to take methyphenidate hydrochloride or Ritalin in two forms daily - a 10mg tablet and 2 tablets of Concerta XL (both brands of Ritalin). These help to keep my ADHD under control and they work.

So the next time some members of a, dare I say it, CULT say that your faith is a fake and that a well known and well documented mental disorder doesn't exist, just turn round and tell them to stuff their words where the sun doesn't shine and to think really hard about the consequences that their words could have.

I only stated my viewpoint on it. Scientists think that there was something that caused the Big Bang, could have been God, could have been two atoms getting it on and causing the creation of the universe as a result. The thing is that until we do, there is always going to be different ways of explaining how the Big Bang came about.

I believe in God and go to church every Sunday as I am a Catholic. However, I also believe the Big Bang theory, so you could say I have a foot in both camps. Science seems to have the answers for everything because of the Enlightenment signalling the ascent of science and the fall of religion as the source of answers to all of life's questions. The only problem occurs when science cannot answer a mystery that religion has an answer to, which is why, for me at least, faith is the backup to science because God hasn't been disproved by science and the Vatican has admitted that Genesis is full of myths because it was written at a time when science was still bound by religion and nobody had ever heard of the Big Bang theory.

The Libyan leader was in Rome for a UN conference, but decided to try and do some religious work as well - trying to persuade 500 Italian women to convert to Islam because he believes that Christianity is based on a fraud. Gaddafi said that women in the West "have often been used as pieces of furniture, changed whenever it pleases men. And this is an injustice." and then proceeded to invite the women to travel to the holiest city for Muslims, Mecca in Saudi Arabia, even though only Muslims are permitted to go there.

I am furious that the Colonel thinks that he can try and manipulate Italian girls to convert to Islam by insulting Christianity. I am a Catholic and think that it is a disgusting act to attack one of the most important events in my faith for the sole purpose of converting women to Islam.

In the United Kingdom, the sentence for murder varies depending on the circumstances. Pre-meditated murder (or 1st degree in USA) carries a life sentence with a set period to be served before the guilty party can be considered for parole. However, in some cases, the sentence has been life with no possibility of parole due to the actions involved. Manslaughter carries a lesser sentence because it can either be killing in self-defence (negating murder) or the guilty party had a very small role in the murder.

Don't worry, it happens. Russia is just trying to make itself look tough with this action. However, it has shown that by shutting off the gas, it threatens to kill elderly people by depriving them of the warmth they need during the harsh weather in Europe.

We're stuck at a crossroads on whether we should reproach Israel or Hamas. Personally, I'd reproach Hamas because of their disregard for the civilians in Gaza. But some of us believe that Israel is to blame.
