He doesn't appear to be fully serious, but I wouldn't say "troll". He is just playing a character, an exaggerated character of himself I imagine, which is how he manages to be convincing. His videos are his outlet. The joke is on those patronising fools who post video responses telling him what he should and shouldn't say and do.

1. Super Mario 3 - Yeah predictable I know but it was just so big and so beautiful. In fact all three NES Mario games are my joint number 1.
2. Legend Of Zelda - This is my favourite Zelda game of them all! Such little dialogue and simple graphics, but so mysterious and enchanting. This one had me playing for months as a little kid. I got stuck quite a few times but could never give up. Admittedly I did consult a guide at one stage but I had no internet back then (early 90s) so I had to go to a bookshop and read it in there.
3. Snake Rattle and Roll - What could be better than 2 player simultaneous action featuring snakes eating coloured balls and climbing up a mountain? (or whatever it was) This one was almost 3d, well not really but the closest thing to 3d back then. It was quite confusing to do some of the jumps and absolutely ultra rock doom hard to finish it. I never did. Great 50s soundtrack.
4 - Fantastic Adventures Of Dizzy. This was like all the previous Dizzy games rolled into one with better graphics and awesome music. This really could have used a save game feature though because it was huge and would have taken weeks to finish (never did because I wasn't allowed to leave the NES on overnight). The cartridge didn't even look like a normal NES cartridge which scores it bonus points for non-conformity .
5. Maniac Mansion - First point and click adventure I ever played, only one I ever liked. Just thinking about this makes me feel all nostalgic. The music was amazing and the fact that you could get one character lost or stuck and just switch to another was great. I never came close to finishing it.
I'd like to mention that Metroid is probably better than all of these games but I only just thought of it. Tough shit. Honourable mentions go to Solstice, Double Dragon 2, Little Nemo, Dr. Mario, Chip n Dale, Tecmo World Wrestling, Street Gangs, Paperboy, A Boy and His Blob, MEgaman, Faxanadu and Kirby. Great days.

I've got a feeling it's a stolen submission. I mean the guy says that he had never heard of newgrounds before when his flash animation has been around for years and was even posted on here 4 years ago before he got famous for his Nizlopi music vid. http://monkeehub.newgrounds.com/. What would really like to see in a flash cartoon? Just keep reminding yourself that absolutely anything you want can happen, and you don't need to tone it down or censor it, because it's for you.
It's not always as simple as exporting to avi, because if you're using something like a scripted camera it won't export how you want it.... and the original question was swf to mpg4 which doesn't necessarily mean you have the fla file. Well there's a program called swf2avi pro which does just as it says. And mpg4 doesn't mean it needs to have a .mpg ending. You can encode mpeg4 avi files (which are recommended for submitting to sites like youtube) I don't know how much sense that made but I suggest sniffing around some torrent sites for swf2video or even paying for it (why not eh?) Also make sure you have the Xvid mpeg 4 codec.
Having just checked on flash, IF you don't use any scripted cameras and you DO have the fla file, once you have installed the xvid codec, you can export straight from flash using it.

I recently discovered a flash camera plugin that supported rotating and blurring (thanks gobi). The problem was that it had a small bug causing it to flicker between scenes. Well I menitoned the bug to them and they fixed it, but their site went down, so I'm hosting the plugin for them. I really recommend this if you liked the old vcam, or if you've never used a flash cam, now is the time to start.

Good for you on your miracle cure, but come on....Doctors on Newgrounds? With thread topics like "Would you fuck megaman if he was a girl" and "I tried to tattoo my own scrotum" I don't think anyone with even aspirations of one day being a doctor would be seen dead on this message board.
I tend to notice that my stuff hangs around the 4.19 - 4.21 mark after it hits the top 50. People get angry if my stuff creeps in at the bottom because it offends and confuses them. I don't mind too much but I can imagine there are a lot of "top 50 defenders" that feel it's their duty to zero me out of there (In fact people have told me that they do that). As long as Adam Phillips' stuff is up there then I guess I can't complain.
It's people like you making pointless 3 word insult reviews that forced NG to take this sort of action and now honest fair reviews are getting deleted as well.
I'm not abusive, Igive more good reviews than bad, and I give good reasons when I give bad reviews. It seems every time I check my messages there's another one about a review of mine being deleted. If the deletion of reviews is directly based on that little box that asks if people found it helpful then that's probably not a good idea. It's a known Newgrounds fact that an honest bad review amongst an abundance of good reviews is always going to be tagged as abusive just because the fan boys and girls don't like to see their favourites being bashed. So this means if I want to review a LegendaryFrog movie that's horribly drawn, horribly tweened, horribly written and with voices that crack and sound like they were recorded on a phone, I have to make it a good review because otherwise it's going to be marked as abusive and eventually deleted.
I can totally understand deleting reviews that are just "UR A FAG" or "SUX" but I'd like to think even some of the more vicious reviews I've written were a wee bit more constructive than that.
Anyway, is anyone else having issues with disappearing reviews or is it just me?
Damn! They look pretty good. That company contacted me offering me free samples if I plugged their site but I turned them down because I thought they seemed a bit dodgy. I suppose they look a bit big for my room anyway.
Well on myspace and youtube you can change your url whenever you want. Surely their coding isn't that advanced? If not why not just set up a deadline day where people have to have stick with thier names after that? I'm it won't bother too many people, and of course there'll be complaints on the forums but that's all forums are anyway, complaints. Do it Tom, userpages would really kick ass. It would be so much better than linking people to a search result that doesn't always work. Also while I'm here would it be too much to ask for some way of sorting people's flashes by the date they were made? It's always nice to see how an animator has progressed.
Has anyone any idea why I'm getting online poker popups from internet explorer when I'm using firefox? According to spybot my system is clean of spyware but every 20 minutes or so I get 3 or 4 of these stupid popups inviting me to "find out why everyone's playing poker". I don't even use explorer to browse the web. help me get rid of them please.
Ughh! Queen? Terrible, but The Beatles, The Stones, The Who, Sex Pistols, Clash, Specials, Joy Division, Radiohead, David Bowie, The Cure, The Damned, The Fall have done us proud. The country is a big mess though, some terrible places, terrible weather, terrible smells, dull council estates, hooligans and everything costs too much. Yeah England is pretty much crap.
Simple. Open whatever program you use to record sound with, then go to windows volume control and go options>properties select recording, and look for something called either "what you hear" "wave out mix" "Stereo mix" or "mono mix" if you have any of them, make sure they're checked and click ok, then select them on the recording volume control. Then your sound recorder will record any sound that is playing on your pc, so you just need to play the midi and press record on the sound recorder. You may need to mess around with the midi volume settings as well.
This is in response to what I saw on the front page about turning the forums around. I used to have a forum that was in a similar state to this one....spam spam spam, gibberish, flaming, people posting pics of penises and so I decided to make some changes, and tighten up a few ground rules - The board filled up with negativity, I was called a "communist" and a "nazi" then everyone left my forum......SO the moral of the story is don't have a forum. Sorry I meant good luck chaps, I'd probably post more on here if there were less off the "I just had sex with my sister" posts.

Ok more info: He's using a PC with windows XP. Sound works fine in everything else but won't work in any flash. The latest version of flash and firefox are both running. Restarting didn't do anything and of course the damn speakers are on!
Alright kids, a friend of mine is having problems with flash movies playing sound in his browsers (IE and Firefox) it's completely mute, the same for google video and youtube (as they also seem to be flash based) Well I couldn't help him but I'm sure someone on here is in the know. We've tried reinstalling both firefox and flash, but still no joy.
