Also, if this is for a school project, I think it's best if you do it on your own.

Oh whoops didn't mention your first question.
It's not alot, I did say it is very little actually. The size of the art is small, and we need just 3 pieces or so.

If you wan't to help us with a poster, you can imagine that that takes more time, and gets paid more(still wont be much).

Oh wow thats alot of replies at once lol.

@The 'very-funny' sarcastic guy

It isn't as small as you think it is. It will be just a decent indie game I think.
When I write the post a little humoristic(this word doesnt exsist does it) it doesn't mean I really am busy with a crappy little game.

And nope the art doesnt get a grade(?). Did you even read the post? We are suppose to sell a game and make some money out of it. I can just make a nice smiley with paint and put it in there, but people won't really buy it then will they?

And at last,
Nope I did better not do this alone. We are already with 5 eh, we are just making a product here. Thats the whole point of the project. After finishing this one succesfully I can(hopefully) join the University.

Indie game 2 player co-op. Posted May 31st, 2012 in Art

G'day folks

I am busy with a few friends of mine for a final school project(no im not 12, im 18 years old).
The idea is making a product what you can sell(marketing) and make a fair amount of money out of it.

Well, a few people I know are able to program/sprite etc. So we have been busy for 3 months now with a decent alpha version of the game.

I'm sure I'll end up with a wall-o-text so stop reading here if you want to be sure of getting a good amount of money.

We aren't a studio or anything and I'm defenitely quitting programming after this final big project(eats way too much time and is boring). We will still be updating the game though. What we need is someone to take care of the loading screen, the menu and maybe a poster. If you really have too much time you can aswell help us with the forum we'll have to put on later.

We can for now promise very small amounts of money and a percentage of the total money we make. We don't have a budget and that isn't the plan of the school project either. However, next to the percentage(which might be a good amount of money at the end) this will be good for your portfolio. We have to do some presentation after the deadline has passed, and we can give you credit for it there. We are talking about a presentation in front of 920 people here.

Now what is the game actually?
Its not a 3d game with fancy graphics, not at-all. It doesn't have fancy graphics, it's more a game to play for fun(like Soldat). It's a co-op game for 2 players and it's topdown. The game itself is really fast, requires a good amount of skill and you really need to work together.

The game has 7 different classes and 12 unlockable grenades/trowables/supporting structures. You start with 1 class and 0 unlockables. You'll have to earn them while playing. The game has 3 different gamemodes. Every game mode has 3 levels. The game has 3 campaigns and we have 1 finished so far.

The game will have a closed beta so we can oversee the emails a bit(prefer a few dedicated people than alot of people who'll start saying it's shite or good) so I actually dont want to share screenshots in this post. If you are interested in joining though... I can send you some screenshots and maybe I can show you the game some time soon.

If you want payment your not really at the right place in this project, I admit. This project is more for people who want something shiny in their portfolio or/and want to help a few kids being really busy on a school project.

It could be good fun, it could make you some money and it will quite surely be nice for your portfolio.
If you are interested, email me. I can be quite harsh tho, dont take it too personally if I say we don't like your style.

Someone who can do proper beats Posted October 12th, 2011 in Collaboration

Hello there folks,

I've been doing some songs for a while, but I stuck, just stuck at 1 part. I always start making a melodie, and my friend told me my music is mehhh, but after I had shown him my melodies instead-he said that those were 'top notch'. Cool to hear, but he blamed my beats...Since I can easily create nice melodies I can't make beats at all somehow. I always have to switch to another melodie to make the beat fit, however it should be the opposite. So am kinda looking for someone who can do beats quite well, since this isn't really gonna work. As beats now, I always do the simple 1 beat per pattern or I use the standart beats in Nexus (plug in). So well, someone in for a collab? Maybe I'd be a fun experience and I might be able to learn alot.

Some example of a melodie:

However, don't come to me when you dont consider yourself pretty decent, my experience is pretty big, but I've never focussed on beats.

FL studio effects. Posted December 12th, 2010 in Audio

Hey,

Well, this is my first post, lets see if someone awnsers here. I am busy with FL since some years, and I always had 1 big problem, how do I put effects like the 'fruity love philter' over one selected area? And not over the whole song? Please explain it clear to me.

Thanks!
