Wow. I must say that was a very detailed and helpful answer to my question :) So actually, the only thing we've got to do is become really fake, like everybody and don't accept no for an answer? Sound easy :) There's only one "but"... The Netherlands (our home-base) has 16 million inhabbitants, so shows in just this country will most definitly NOT pay the rent. We're going on tour in the United Kingdom this summer (hopefully 8 sold out performances) as a start (frontman is British)... So another question I have is: any idea where to meet the guys behind bands (producers, marketeers, strategist, etc.) online? Thanks alot for the answers you guys already provided! This is why I once was deeply in love with NG!
Hey there AP-forum users. Some of you might know me, most of you won't. I was a very active AP user on Newgrounds for quite some time (2001-2006). I'm currently involved in a British/Dutch band, called Explesive Deleted, which was started as a school project to attract some media attention. However, since this is the first time that I really try to make something big happen, I have absolutly no idea how to market a thing like this.
So my question to you is: How do you market/hype/sell yourself/a band? Tell me how YOU did it, or how you are planning to do it in the future. Help is more then welcome!
