i think the cover should have a picture of everyones super hero that they're using to be on it, fighting eachother and such

for example, one person would draw the character they're using punching someone

and someone else would show they're character getting hit and then you would just edit them together.

Nice idea, but that's going to an art collab? However, as an extra, by one artist might be cool? Still a bit to close to art, if this is a flash collab.

:Yes, and instead of the batman's head we could add the Collab logo (if we have one).

That would be really funny. Who will make it?

I could do it? But an idea would be, who ever the next hero is, would be the face with the authors name under it?

If, everyone draws the face of their hero. Or if you want them to look the same, get the best artist to draw all the faces?

For the translation, why not have the Bat sign going into bats?

Also, how do you want me to send it to you?

Okay, so I found this on my computer.. made it last year with 12fps, and it was 550x400.
Do you think it's alright the way I sorta fixed the problem? ::

well if you turn it all into a movie clip, you can easily change the size. and the change the frme rate. But it at 30. And extend every 1 frame by 3/ should work? If it looks too choppy; make it 2.

Sorry I can't read 50+ forums pages.
I know I don't need muysic but:
Do I need to follow on from some one else's?
Do I need to use certain colours?
Frame rate?
thanks

I could animate them for you. However, if you want to keep it your own. How about, drawing the characters, in the positions you want? and I'll sort it out in flash.

So draw me the body parts seperatly (upper arm, lower arm etc.) scan them in. And give me a detailed script, I'll do my best to put it into flash. ALso, if you could get me the voices?

I was disappointed with the way the splash turned out. I'm horrible with splashes and moving buildings so I'm trying hard to make them look good.

The splash wasn't bad. Possibly add mist over it? (Blur a light blue "cloud" and turn down the alpha?)
Also, have him hoving after the punch longer.

Added; music, sound effects and made the sound cleaner. Anything else I need to do?

Also, are we adding easter eggs?

Response to: = SuperHero Collab = Posted June 13th, 2009 in Game Development

Thanks, and yea. I'll look for sounds tommorw. Although I have no idea why flash killed the voice. It was clear before I put it in. Any idea how to fix this? And a good place to get sound effects?

Done. : http://dimeck.deviantart.com/art/Super-H ero-Collab-Murder-Man-125825207

I hope you enjoy it. My first real animation in 3 years. Critisism wanted.

This is Murder Man. The human with the power to murder people. Deep and well thought out I know.

I mean, if people use there own music just have them after the song has ended?
I've almost done my ani, and I havn't put music to it yet.

I really want to join this collab but can you please extend the Due Date, just a week? I need to study a lot this week, so if you don't mind. :)

* Frame Rate: THIRTY (30) Frames Per Second
I think that's not necessary. 12 or 15 it's ok but 30 is too fast!! Isn't it?

All collab's I've seen have 30. It's a pain. A tip is to have each frame that you would normally have, doubled. So when animating it's; in essence, 15. This also means you can have fast bits.

Wow someone else is actually working other than me.
The animation and art are really good , seriously.
but it was all kind of confusing , at first I thought those 2 guards were the guards shot outside.
What I advice you to improve is add in a scene where the assassin shoots the guards outside.

Yea, I was worried if people would make that mistake. That's why I gave them both rifles :S
And thanks. Good to know some one else is doing it. I'l have to contiune it.

The zoom looks tacky. Just leave it as an image. Possible static fades out from over it?

If you have a higher version of flash you can save it as a lower version.
If you have a lower version of flash, flash 8 can open it.

Fun game, although I suggest adding things which follow the mouse? Like blue versions of the target; which you lose health if you hit. Otherwise, you just hover your mouse over the targets path.

I've worked on this for about two days now. No where near finished. However, the lack of updates of the collab is worrying. So, I'm just showing I've been doing somthing.

If no one else proves there working, I'm going to leave it 'till I get proof. I've got another project running along side.

That being said I'd love to hear your comments, are critical as you can.
Hope you like it.

A tip though, don't go for the cheapest. I found you have to go over £50 for a decent tablet. The cheaper ones usually have problems; staircasing, not touch sensitive etc.
Although my first tablet was £20 a was the best one I ever had ;D

Response to: Do you want somewhere to work? Posted June 13th, 2009 in Game Development

My room's perfect. However, parents do come in. Ugh.

I'd be great to have an office. But the cost, and the fact it'd be overkill just for flash. You'd need a site(like newgrounds) to use an office usefully.

You may as well rent a hotel and bring a laptop if you want quiet.

Response to: sound Posted June 10th, 2009 in Game Development

Create a movie Clip with two blank frame
USe the "Stop" actionscipt on each frame.
On frame 2 have the music. (I thinj it'll need to be set to stream) but for good measre have stop all sounds on frame 1.)
Put a button one a second layer (in the movie clip)
Have the button "play" ( onrealese play etc.)

That's it. Press it once, it'll play, again and it'll stop.
Make a different button for each sound. If you want it to scroll through just make more frame in the movie clip one after the other (still using stop).

Think that'll work. Just pm me or somthing if it dosn't.
