I think this is an issue that needs to be nipped in the bud, PRONTO! Gone are the days where women lived at home and did not work... waiting for a man to scoop them up and marry them. Today, women live on their own and they work. Why should men still foot the bill? Go dutch and have some dignity.

This little rhubarb comes from a blind date I had the other night. And since it was a "blind" date and I didn't technically "ask" anybody, I assume that the bill will be split down the middle. Right?

The girl came to the date and said, POINT-BLANK, that she didn't bring her wallet. My response? I figured that since she didn't bring her HALF, I could enjoy MY HALF without her! Damn straight, I saw the movie, went to dinner, and talked to other girls in the process. That was my date! Why should a man foot the bill for a women that he doesn't even know. And for the men who do pay all the way, are women really "surprised" that men "expect something in return" wen the date ends?!

Chivalry is dead and I thought in its PLACE were equal rights among genders. Some women I have dated conveniently forget that they are equal to men and make their own money while on a date, and this just INFLAMES me because who wants to date a SELFISH MOOCH?! And even if I asked her out, she should still pay because we are on EACH OTHER'S TIME! If she didn't like me, than she would have accepted to go on a date...unless she was looking for a free meal and some entertainment.

Now I see why not too many women ask men on dates...it's not breaking TRADITION, it's breaking their little web of double-standard BS. So to all the men out there, don't be a pussy and split that bill down the middle! If she has a fit, than she obviously she's not worth it. Better yet, how about a date where NO MONEY IS SPENT ALL! Now there's a novel idea...just spending time with one another.

Fellow NGers, this is the Detesticus...and I have a problem.

I am 21 years old, and my voice CRACKS. It is FUCKING EMBARRASING when I am speaking in public places, as people automatically record my shortcomings in their memory banks to gossip about later.

My question to you all is there anyone out there who is also suffering from this, and is NOT going through pubert mind you?! Is there a way to deal with this? I wonder how people who stutter deal with their affliction?

Recently I have been thinking lately about this whole spiel about girls and why, as a 20-something college student, I need to have them. I've even dated some of the girl underclass (Cause I can't do any better.) and it always ends in shit. Some I wondered to myself...

Okay my fellow NG hoes, here's the deal.

Unless you do not watch TV, you'll probably hear the F-word (Feminism) tossed around a bit or at LEAST hinted at obliquely in shows. To be blunt, feminism has permeated most of TV land and other national forms of communication. If you notice with most sitcoms...

Men are either:

Lazy
Fat
Drunk
Befuddled
Breast-Ogling Pigs
All-of-the-Above.

While women in sitcoms like that god-awful "Dharma and Greg" and that "gay show" on NBC that I forget. WOmen are portrayed as absolute, flawless Goddesses. I mean, where are the fat, ugly, disgruntled women at??? I recently noticed that a new reality show "Average Joe" pits one beautiful woman against an array of motley losers and fat-asses.

What if the show were on the OTHER foot? Suppose a guy gets to choose between ugly women? I betcha there would be a political backlash so stringent against men!

And speaking of gays, to further humiliate and emasuclate men, we have a bunch of gays walking around and turning guys into "metrosexuals." I mean with all this feminism being exhorted, guys are being left to the curb.

Perhaps a new awareness of masculinity is needed. I mean we need a new masculine mystique, as it were.

Bottom line, I think feminism is beating a dead horse. I mean feminism, much like the African-American movement that bot hstarted around the 60's and 70's, has lost much of it power and meaning of today. Things are not as black and white as the used to be, instead things are shades of gray. I mean I hear "Affirmative Action" will eventually be dissolved in about 30 years because as they figure...Black people would have "caught up" to Whites and racism will have been diluted. Well if they are going to do the that, they should also curb feminism. I mean what real point does it have now?
