Nothing you can do about it now since its traditional media :(
I see what you mean but I usually like my work to have alot of contrast in them, especially the darkest areas to be black. I usually don't like posting the ref because people tend to start critiquing based on if I "copied" the image 100% correctly instead of evaluating it as an independent work of art. I usually like to push and pull some values so it has more pop and clarity than the original photos. There was some significant glare from the left side being that's where the light source was taking the photo. Thanks for your critique though!

Nice work! It looks like me but taller! lol I like the texture you are getting and wonder if the face is done or are you going to go back in and render out some more details/textures etc. ?

Is there any way to get scouted faster? to get me noticed more.
And also please check my artwork.
all i really have to say is that i didn't get scouted until i stopped TRYING to be scouted and just focused on submitting good, complete looking artwork. that being said, i also removed all of my more "doodle-ish" and incomplete artworks, so that all i had in my gallery were solid artworks that sold what i am all about.
I would suggest that you just separate yourself from the want to be scouted or use that want to keep creating artwork. focus on making art that is not just nice to look at, but that is truly YOUR artwork.
No disrespect intended, but i didnt really grasp anything about your artistic abilities or uniqueness when i checked out your gallery. Just know that people, like me, are always looking for artists to scout, and when you are scouted, you will understand what it is that people want to see from you(like i did).
Most of my artwork is fanart, but even if sometimes i try to mimic someone else style, i try to apply my way of coloring and other stuff. It's my "true artwork".
Thanks for responding
Its funny, I have almost a completely different experience regarding feedback amounts. I used to hate fan art to death but recently found out people actually love that shit. Chisel out your unique style and do whatever makes you happy, cuz thats what you will stick with to the end = good quality work. And tbh, you kinda need to get scouted to get noticed, or post, comment, and rate alot of good quality stuff.

Dude 16? That's some pretty solid technique you've nailed in those last two im impressed. Everything is consistent and looks like it fits. I could see some nice digital inked renderings from those keep it up.
Sorry for all the posts just got some feedback from the chat and wanted to clear all doubt.
Hey just to clear up anything, this isnt filtered or any other ridiculous shit of the like. Its a simple photo of a 100% hand drawn pencil portrait on paper. I guess there was so much downsizing to the photo that it kinda looks fake. its 100% LEGIT. Check my profile you should see some consistency. Here is a non-edited version with the stupid soft lighting that I have. Look at the pencil strokes and my hand nearly folding the paper. You can even see the glare of the graphite.

Damn I agree this is definitely spam.
Hey guys! I was wondering how you fellow artists out there upload your artwork. I have noticed decent sized images take awhile to display on the website and wonder if it is better to upload images 800 x 800 pixels or less so it can be viewed quickly. I usually upload around 2-4 megapixel size images.
My favorite of my 70-something rotating background portraits and my dock. Keeping it simple.

I was running a simulation in my mind where I begin dating a girl, we fall in love, have a child, and then she leaves me a few years later for another man.
I realized that I wouldn't scream at her or ask what I can do make our relationship better... I'd let her walk away, but I would totally ignore her existence from then on...Which would include the child, as it is part-her. She would text / email / call me saying something like "your child wants to visit you for the weekend" and I honestly see myself answering "I don't fucking care. Let your new man be its father."
So...Yeah...It's probably a good thing that I'm an asexual virgin.
Yep. I can't see myself crying over someones death. Unlessss It was terrible idk. However, no o simulation can truly represent reality. I spent all of high school finding out reasons I could never attend Prom Senior year. I had decided it was impossible. Guess what? I went to prom with a date. Life will fuck whatever you plan or think will happen almost every time.

Please dont take your final opinion from here. Ask people who know you well or you look up to. Take it with a grain of salt is what I'm saying. As for my opinion, Jack Skellington said to Dora fear is a sign of a strong heart. As long as it doesn't limit your quality of life, don't worry about it.
My latest pencil portrait. I used to abhor fan art of celebrities and notable people of the like, but I realized it was a stupid idea and really stifles the amount of popularity you can get as an artist. So I decided to draw the Khaleesi , one of my favorite characters from the Game of Thrones. To be honest, I havent touched this drawing in nearly a month because of the difficult platinum blond like hair that is next. I did the easy parts but have been working on other things in the mean time. Any tips for motivation to complete the drawing or critiques are welcome!

Here is something I'm working on, I wonder what can I fix or add, and I wonder if I should add color or not.
Looks awesome without the art. Reminds me of Sephitroth, Genesis, and Angeal fighting together in the simulator. I admire your workflow, just pumping those artistic muscles everyday.

Thank you and I will!! Meh, nothing special, the rebranded wacom pen and touch tablet released with alot of other stuff in september. I'm actually quite happy with it. I don't see myself needing anything better until i can afford a cintiq, which would obviously transform my workflow.

This got me thinking about some of my crushes from the past. Now I'm very bad with the whole flirting deal, and being social is easier at some times more than others, but one thing I've noticed is that each time I got rejected I got that whole "We should just be friends" line they give guys.
At this moment I'm fine with being friends, especially since I'm not as cut out for this stuff as any other guy would be, but is my question: How come whenever they say that you should be 'just friends,' they end up ignoring you?
I've realized that I've been the only one trying to keep these 'friendships' going and it's been bothering me more each time. I mean, what the hell? If you're gonna tell me we should be just friends, you could at least act like one.
From my experience, and I've thought too much on the topic, girls may ignore people they feel they might lead on or find themselves getting to much attention from the guy that approached them. The "lets just be friends" thing is just the nicest way they can put it at the time, a very small percentage of girls are actually thinking of that at the time, they want to say the quickest, and easiest thing to quell the attraction. Don't feel bad if you are ignored, they are just trying to keep their distance. On the other hand, (and I mean no disrespect) they may view you as someone who is sensitive to their rejection and feel more comfortable staying away from you in order to avoid more awkward situations rising up in the future. Its kinda like the reason girls like gay guy friends. The enjoy never having to worry about them coming on to them because they are interested in the opposite sex. I hope this helped.

Hello everyone! Ive been around Newgrounds alot in my earlier childhood watching some cool stuff but I decided to join as a contributor today! I just got a drawing tablet and have been using it nonstop :))) I've been an artist for a few years and am excited to put some of my skills into the digital world and share what traditonal stuff I have made. Im mostly interested in fine art and more adult content and most if not all of the things I share will be of that nature. I also love GoT. I hope to learn a ton from you guys and share some of what I have under my belt as well! Hopefully next semester in college wont rape my creative flow like it did last...
