Naturally I did try this and it works everywhere else.

Or you could try following steps.

It was already installed, just NG is being difficult. I will try with my changed TOR setting to see if that makes a difference.

In addition it never saves my log-in details.
It maybe becasue I am using a proxy to view NG. But it used to work fine 2 weeks ago.
Disable Torbutton. For some reason with the latest release, Torbutton gets rid of all your private data every time you close FF.

I will try that now thanks. I found where you can disable the auto-delete feture (wasn't that hard to find) Right click Torbutton > Prefrences > Security Settings > Shutdown
I just had to know what to look for :)

No apologises for the double post, at all!
*evil laugh*

I have been working throughout the holiday and started back to my regular classes today. Honestly I was pensive over it all and so tense. But really it was great to get back to the normal routine for the new year here. I will miss my 'free' time but I like the ...

You mother fornicator! (Speakers just died) So much for Chinese quality...

I was browsing the NG portal page when I noticed this, it seems that the daily totals are either frozen at the time awarding/or calculated and updated at different times.

Wow... I was meaning to do a synopsis on Mastermind here the game here. But as always got sidelined.

Great game that I haven't played before. The idea isn't all that new, but the concept of using it with the ongoing Mastermind series is a pleasant twist. Everyone should have a try of it. Here is my best score of late;

Don't worry you aren't the only one :)

I haven't heard any of the presidential hopefuls speak (via video online). Personally, from what I have read on the news and synopsiss of the candidates I would prefer it to be a race between Mcain to win or Obama. Hillary doesn't seem like someone who would contribute to the world so much. And lets face it, the last few presidents have had a bigger sway in global politics than in the past. The world indeed is becoming a smaller place.

I was on Skype just now and I finished chatting to a Swedish guy who is a devout believer of Scientology. He added me solely added me to convert me.
RAORASSZZZERSSS!!! I am one of them now *manical laugher*

Seriously though I was reading up on it earlier for wikki and the actual website and I have to say I am very much less than impressed with its 'explanations'

Whenever I asked this guy about it he ALWAYS referred me to Dianetics and what it said. he told me NONE of his own ideas just kept referring and sending me links to the site.
He never asked me about what I believed in either. just started to blather on about how Scientology is good for him.

I don't like the cult mentality at all. A religion is about self restraint and strength. Character and explanation.
Scientology is an excuse to use flagrant abandon for ones own fantasies whilst not being held accountable for your own actions.

It should be possible, but you will get a rank change for the new dept.

Also while I was B/P'ing last night I saw 2 blantantly hardcore flashes. This was all in 30 minutes, I whistled them. but I am not sure if they got taken off. There were so many flashes on last night I cannot remember which.
Honestly I am half expecting they got mass passed by some crew so I lose the whistle points.

Happy Chinese New year to you all!

I ate so many dumplings I could burst. I love dumplings but too much of anything can make you tired of it.
It has been all I can do to come online to deposit. I think maybe Admin has seen my news report because it is getting harder and harder to use the method I use as it keeps saying I am using a proxy to vote. And the NG database of proxies has grown alot since I posted it... grrr....
That means if it keeps going at this rate I can no longer vote and deposit XP :(

I saw the Sparta Sailor flash that was the review crew pick and it reminded me of the flash you see on albinoblacksheep and the animutation style used alot when I first came to these kind of websites.
I gave it a 4, because it was funny and I know how hard it can be to sync freezed frames like that for a whole song. I keep '5's for things I want to see over and over :)

Oh, and I'd like to be 'officially' in the Portal Dept. But don't be surprised if I overstep into other depts' roles too >.>

Open the picture and save it in MS Paint. MS paint is stupid and doesnt know about transparent gifs. That should work.

I do think the newest post should always be a post that links to the important posts, though. That way going into the NGDD Profile will always be a quick click to get to where you want to get to.

Also a link to all the various "important" news items in the NGDD accounts sig.

This will also be the place you'll be able to find the updated memberlists, contest results, and news updates on the situations with the Newgrounds Department of Defense as well as Newgrounds itself.

I am guessing for the list there will be numbers attached to the names once this is sorted out.

No, I am anti-bigot.
And you are acting like one.

Translation: We left out of popular opinion at the time, regardless of our situation.

Yes. We have closer to home threats to countries that may support terrorism. We have to take care of them too and not try to solve Americas problems.

Australia "can't do shit" because, like you said, they're "small".

Yeah yeah. Obviously you aren't reading what I said before about sending troops and aid before.

I just explained to you how there wasn't a single change in policy. We were going to rebuild Iraq and allow them a new government over a long term comittment WHILE discussing the WMD situation.

No. The story changed with time. It was never change at the4 beginning. It was about stopping the WMD's
What WMD's? We (the world) are still waiting.

All that stuff about rebuilding, allowing them to be a "beacon in the middle east", and not allowing the terrorist to take over the state were ALL PART of the origincal plan.

The plan failed as it pushed many moderate Muslims to the far right. The road to hell has been paved with good intentions.

But people like Rove fucked it all up and decided "we don't need that many troops. We don't need a policy to deal with insurgents".

Not informed enough to comment on this one.

I don't trust the bible.

(Last Question) Why is your religion any better that the Greeks or Romans, and why do you feel the need to convert everyone you know, by force if sometimes (Reconquista) or burn them for witchcraft or other things because your religion is "all forgiving"?

I think as society changes the need to explain things changes as well, as early ways of explaining things were made as God's and then this was changed into natural occurrences some gods died and new ones took fold. Monotheism allowed the belief in one god, this made it easier to control the people under one union. That is a possible explanation of why there are only single-godded religions today. Instead of the many 2000 years ago.

Lets face it - Iraq WMD's was a poor excuse and a half-baked plan. And most people got sucked into it.

Still: We played the dominant role in Vietnam as well as Iraq. Australia? Nope. And they wussed out without providing ANY real support.

Support is support. If you feel that strongly about it, write a letter to your govenment justifying why we shouldn't have a military alliance. Oh and tell them to get your American troops in the American base to GTFO of my country.

Want me to compare our death tolls, as well as with Vietnam?

Proves what? Americans die easier.
You can twist the statistics both ways. The point is we both lost people.

There you go. Your fault. Then later, Australia wuss'd out and left with minimal deaths while not even bearing the front of the war.

We didn't leave because of the deaths. They happend later. We left because we aren't a warmongering nation. And being surrounded by water is a nice buffer to any threats from neighbors.

That's because you're not a major player.

What?

The Regime Change and PeaceKeeping were ALL parts of the war WITH WMDs. People just like to make the claim that it was all about WMDs and the regime change has nothing to do with it, because they've been fed bullshit by the media.

I actually was regurgitating the change in US policy towards Iraq. It started as x and changed to y once the people got bored. USA has been in a ready state of war since WWII. You are a country built on war. Australia is one of peace. So Australian people are happier and not as scared.

Which means you have next to no Integrity and change opinions based on what's popular.

Yes. Vietnam. How can you not call that a similar thing? Really.

It's not like it matters. After all, your military sucks and you did "next to nothing" in Iraq anyway. If anything, it's probly a burden being lifted off the US for having to support you.

Tell me how our military sucks? Tell me how w did next to nothing? Show me links.

Our military doesn't suck. It is just small. And we offered to help the USA and the USA accepted. The coalition of the willing was always more about political support globally and you know this.
At the same time as we had troops in Iraq we also had troops in Afghanistan, East Timor and the Solomon Islands. These were at the governments request for peacekeeping duties. We don't start wars.
Peacekeepers will need to remain in Iraq for at least another40 years for a longterm peace to exist, the people that supported the war and thought it would be over in 5 are delusional. Which I will admit seems to be alot of delusional people out there. But the policy has changed from one of finding WMD's to that of regime-change and to one of peacekeeping.

Keep to the thread topic please.

America and Australia are and have been allies for a very very long time. So long that Australia and America (and England) share some of the same media both print and TV.
So it is fairly understandable that the noted resistance against Iraq was at best dulled.
The whole world was lied to. Some people saw through it, some didn't. Others did it for reasons that were not mentioned.

I'd like to also note that Afghan troops will remain in place. It is only the Iraq troops that will be pulled.
Does this make us a bad ally? Or our new leader an enemy against the US?
Lets be serious. Many Australians feel that the US has been exploiting the friendship between the US and Australia.
An example is the cross-media agreement a few years ago that allows less Australian programs to be aired on National free TV in favor of American TV series.

Spain also withdrew troops because of popular opinion. Why can't we?

Yeah, that feature has been on NG for over a year now, technically it is meant for the top 2000XP users, but realistically, it is for the top 2000 active users, so those not in the top 2000 can also vote.

I am slowly creeping up the ranks, almost one a day.... I wonder how long it takes for the rank gains to stop completely...

Anything you do that helps NG or the club become a better or stronger place on your own ideas.

Ooh, can't wait to be a... um, Warrant Officer V

Haha, I know, I thought about this too. Technically I would only be a Corporal if I didn't do anything else

It is made to make people participate. There would be plenty of competitions being held for people to get points after the re-styling. It isn't so bad then.

That's cool, so by the end of the month, I should have twenty points!

At least.

Wow, wish I was a head right about now.

That's the point. They have more to do so they should be rewarded. :P

Good job!

Thankyou :)

Making a "major" contribution to the club = 300 XR or varies
And what would that be?

Well, this what we are doing now would be a nice fit in. Something later down the track would be good. I have made mention of thins that people could do in the past for this. NG DOD preloers and the like. It really could be anything.

A major contribution to NG = 400 -800 XR
Like?

Casualty has done alot for the members and stat whores among you.

You're damn right it's confusing.

I know, if I knew the sign up date for every member I could have answered it better. But if I couls answer this question accurately it wouldn't be so difficult.

That is true, but there are stat whores out there.

And there always will be *blushes*

Well, guys, lately I've been trying to find a proxy that can let me get on NG from school.

Schools are harder to do, but look in my profile, there may be something you can use.

There is nothing random about it. I will explain further down.

It not being as easy as looking at a profile will be difficult on department heads and the list keepers not to mention each individual member now having to keep track of their own stats to make sure they are having everything they report being counted.

Not true. A member will tell a department head about their contributions. If they like maybe suggest a XR rate. That is the Dept Heads decision.

At the end of the month the dept heads send a PM to the list keeper with all the 'special' XR additions to the members.

The list keeper adds on the monthly XR rate and any bonuses from non-club activities and the list the dept heads give him/her.

Telling Dept Heads about things will help, but it would still be somewhat confusing.

Any new change can seem confusing.

If the club grows (which I hope it will) then there will be an absolute TON of information to keep track of not only between updates, but always.

Updates will continue at the normal rate - once a month, unless the list maker feels otherwise. There wouldn't be a big problem of information unless you wanted to make a "hall of Fame" for the contributions members have made to NG (Which isn't a bad idea) but something unrelated to the list.

I think it's a noble idea, but putting it into action would probably be difficult, tedious and confusing.

No. It is more interactive. Tedious? Certainly not! Confusing, I wont disagree. But I think it is easier.
But the same could be said with basing XR on stats too for all members ;)

Oh, and get this shit. My work now blocks Newgrounds forum posts. I can get into the forums, but not the threads themselves. Some genius blocked the threads as "games."
So you will see a lot less posting form me during the week. No more NG on breaks anymore. *sniff*

Read the news post in my profile page, it may help ;)
