Thank you Maus for the 3 day ban.. I'll remember from now on to provide more content when making sarcastic/snide posts regarding Harry Potter, or any other uninteresting juvenile topic.

At 7/25/05 01:58 AM, Maus wrote: If that were true, there wouldn't be as many homosexual parents as there are.

The desire to have children is an innate feature in humans. That's not to say everyone wants children. There are straight people both male and female that do not want children. There are gay people both male and female that do want children.

I have noticed that gays and lesbians tend to wait until later in life to have children, but that is one effect of having the choice to plan to have a child, and never having to worry about 'accidents.' ;)

Are they actually "having" the children, or simply adopting? If its the latter, the argument really has no basis. Such couples don't contribute to the world's population, and aren't really "parents" per say, but merely legal guardians.

Happy birthday.

Depends on what you mean by "cool" really. Ikea has some nifty deco stuff.. Though if I were you, I'd check out some shops and swap meets. With a little luck, some patience.. some cool stuff is bound to pop up.

it's really really old.

Then it might not be worth salvaging... Depending on your parents' computing needs, you can get a more dependable used computer for peanuts, Just be smart about it, shop around and talk to someone who's computer literate with a good knowledge of current prices. Don't talk to ANY salesman ( anyone touching a commission); all they'll do is screw you royally.
