Yes, I sing and play pretty much everything on most tracks.

For acoustic-based stuff: Nick Drake. Ralph McTell. Paul Simon.
For 'interesting': Pulp. Eels.
For 'soul' and amazing vox: Queen. Stereophonics. Catatonia. Travis.
I really can't recommend Mark Owen (In Your Own Time & How The Mighty Fall) highly enough, I know he has bad press for being a Take That member but both albums are fucking excellent
For ska: The Ordinary Boys. Madness.
For more 'rockout': Blur. Semisonic.

Geez. I'm just another user, and one who doesn't enjoy being idolised.
Granted, I'm a bit older than most on here, but I've read the stats and the whole 9/11 thing is tiny compared to famine deaths in Ethiopia, death by cars or cancer, etc. The whole 'oh we must respect the people who died in 9/11' is a load of bullshit that I'd rather not hear every year.

Anyway, this is off-topic, so I suppose I should dig out a joke I like... not so much a joke as something else, quoted/written by Mr Anon

Is there anything more beautiful than a beautiful, beautiful flamingo, flying across in front of a beautiful sunset? And he's carrying a beautiful rose in his beak, and also he's carrying a very beautiful painting with his feet. And also, you 're drunk.

Response to: Hunger strike. Posted September 9th, 2007 in General

Dude. As a parent myself (although mine are still young'uns) I have to say this: your parents are trying to do what's best for you. If they're punishing you by restricting meals, just think yourself lucky that you weren't born twenty years earlier, because if you were, you'd just have got a fucking good beating AND no dinner.

Problem nowadays is that kids believe they know everything, yet the fact is, they/you don't. If you're being disciplined, it'll generally be for good reason, and for your own welfare/personal development in the long run. No parent WANTS to punish their kids, but it's something you have to do unless you want your kid to become a tearaway delinquent.

Have some respect for your parents, TALK TO THEM (*IMPORTANT*) to understand why they treat you this way. When you're older and are bringing your own kids up, you'll understand, but in the meanwhile, try to appreciate the fact that your parents are trying to shape you into a good person, rather than a complete twatty asshole.

The vagina is the opening that is located directly below the urethral opening (where you pee from).

I don't fuck the pisshole, I fuck the vagina. Pretty much the whole purpose of the vagina is to accept the male semen, thus leading to the creation of babies... continuation of the genes being one of the primary reasons for existence. Fucking someone's ass is not natural. I'm not saying it's not pleasurable for certain people, I'm just saying it doesn't get me off, and I can't really understand how others enjoy it. But I'm fully aware that there are many that do.

Never stuck my dick in shit, never intend to. With or without condom, it's still disgusting. It's that physical act thing that puts me off homosexuals, I can kind of understand becoming emotionally involved with another man (although I never would), but the whole sexual act thing? Yechhhhhhh. You regularly stick your cock in faeces... that's just wrong.
