theres part 2, i couldnt fit it all in 1 post.

No need to start a new topic [deleted it]. Post it in this thread, if you must. However, there are very few Flashers looking for storywriters, people generally have their own ideas about what they want to make

I know I've been guilty myself of telling people to email him about audio deletion in the past, but that has to stop, so that he can concentrate on what he's supposed to be doing, rather than spending 4 hours checking through emails every day.

If you need to contact an admin about anything regarding the audio portal, email Wade.

Response to: Microsoft To Replace Flash Posted January 25th, 2006 in General

Sparkle? Lame attempt at imitating Flash's name.

Anyway, if it's Microsoft, the chances are it'll just try to be annoyingly helpful (ie, Some stupid paperclip character pops up: "Hello! IT looks like you're trying to make a stick movie? Would you like me to shoot you now?") and fail dismally at what it's actually supposed to do.

I wouldn't recommend doing that, people don't like it from what I've seen in the past. You can get it working on NG, just do what Claxor said. More info:

But, the objects inside mcs does not run when in a gif animation.

Actually, that's a popular misconception, MCs WILL show as animated - as long as you have the MC present on the main timeline dor the same number of frames as the number inside the MC. For example, these objects are inside their own MCs:

Yeah, I've seen results on Google for static text which is embedded in Flash MX swf files on my site. Not sure exactly how they do that, but they do.

I'd have to go with you on this one, but I'm more curious about that G minor seventh chord. D Major/B Minor wouldn't have that, it would be a G major chord instead.

*scratches head in a confused manor*

Apart from George Harrison, the Beatles didn't actually have any training in the theory of music. Quite a few of their songs have chords that technically 'shouldn't be there', but sound fine when put together with the right melody.

The logo is beyond my "artistic skills," but I can guide the technically semi-literate well enough to get an idea of the sitemap and layout that's necessary. Once I get settled in again I'll sketch out some basics of what I'm thinking he needs for the site, and see how that meshes in with what he wants, so that I can get you some parameters. After we can get you some decent information you can give him an estimate. I'm pushing for you to do it, since I know he wants me to ... and all I'm likely to get for "pay" is promises that I'll be able to drive the stagecoach down the highway again when I come back to visit :-P~~~

Hmmm. Sorry to disappoint you Chris, but I'm probably not up for the website, I'm trying to get out of the webdesign side of things (apart from my own sites) and just do games now. I can't be bothered with the hassle involved with creating and updating sites any more - with the games, it's just make it, submit it, forget about it. With websites, they keep coming back to haunt you (updates/domain renewals/various other shit).

I don't mind having a go at the logo, although there are better graphic artists than I hanging out on NG. I could also ask some of the guys in the Flash forum Artists thread to have a go at it.

I might consider taking the site on if it's going to be reasonably small, but from what I can glean from your post, it probably won't be. Anyway, email me with more details when you have them and I'll take a look.
