That code works fine, places the MC at 400, 310. Your problem lies elsewhere.
numFalsches=0;
numWindows=1;
if(_root.numFalsches <= 0){
newf=_root.attachMovie("AdoozyFalsch", "falsch"+_root.numFalsches, _root.numWindows);
newf._x=800/2+(_root.numFalsches*3)
newf._y=(600/2)+10+(_root.numFalsches*3)
_root.numFalsches++;
_root.numWindows++;
trace(newf._x);
}
In CS3, some of the keycodes don't work in the authoring environment (ie the CTRL+ENTER swf preview) because they're reserved as tool shortcuts. Either publish and preview in the standalone player/browser (using a dynamic textbox rather than a trace), or go to Edit>Keyboard Shortcuts>Tools Panel dropdown and disable whatever is using the Z key.
Stop that at once. Yes, you. You should be ashamed of yourself. Now, go and ask forgiveness from your parents.
Come on guys, try to keep it to at least one line. If you don't have that much to say, then don't post. Remember that if this AF Lounge is closed, the chances are that there will not be another.
Headphones
I had a set of Phillips IR cordless headphones for a long time, but the hiss was diabolical. Got some Sennheiser HDR 120's (digital cordless) a year or so ago, and it's a hell of a difference. My only complaint with that model is the fact that the tuning dial and the volume dial are on the same earpiece, apart from that, great sound quality for cordless and not too bad for comfort when going to sleep listening to music (yes it's a bad habit but sometimes it helps me drift off)
Hello! Welcome to the new Audio Forum Lounge (Mk II).
This thread is intended to be a gathering place for NG's audio artists (voice actors, musicians, SFX-freaks, etc) to chill out and chat; to get to know each other on a more personal level, and to strengthen the musical community on Newgrounds.
When you post here, a few basic rules and guidelines should be taken into consideration:
1) If you're new to the Audio Forum, do yourself (and us) a favour by reading the Audio Forum Rules. If you're new to the NG BBS, you should also check out the BBS rules.
2) This Lounge is primarily for non audio-related discussions, although you won't get beaten down if you bring something audio related up. For the really technical stuff, please post in the appropriate thread (eg FL topic or whatever). If there is no existing threads that suit your subject, then create a new one - that's what the Audio Forum is here for.
3) To try and avoid confusion with all the simultaneous discussions that are likely to exist, please put a subject on what you're planning to discuss or respond to. For example, if there is a discussion about skateboarding going on you can make the subject in bold (and/or underlined). It might look like this:
Skateboarding
I bought a new board the other day, got it really cheap too! Haven't skated in bla bla bla etc.
4) Although rambling and ranting will be allowed and even encouraged, spamming (including postcount+1) will not be tolerated; as with any other part of the BBS, there are rules that must be obeyed. Flagrant disregard of these rules will be rewarded with post deletion and possibly a ban. Also, if this thread becomes a cesspool of constant spam (as the original AF Lounge did), it will be locked permanently and there will not be another. So use common sense when posting if you don't wish to end up loungeless.
That's pretty much it! Enjoy hanging out in the Audio Forum Lounge!

Jeez, I'd forgotten how annoyingly slow the BBS is on this connection. Keeps timing out, took me like 10 attempts to get to the 'Post Reply' page.
Anyway, is anyone offering up any suggestions on what to put in the first post, or are we good to go? I've made a few minor edits and linked to the original AF with a warning. If everyone is happy with this I guess I could start the new lounge soonish.

Managed to get hold of him, but he seem to be hesitant about starting the lounge. Basically, I feel him too, with the reasons that he's not a BBS-mod, and don't frequent this forum. For us it's tradition, I'll try to make that clear in a reply. He also mentioned that he still have no connection that allows him to even visit NG (lolwtf, 28.8k???).
Hi guys, first time posting on the BBS in over a year, how dare that Rucklo nutter disturb my Rumpelstiltskin-like nap.
If you really want me to post a new AF topic, I guess it's not a problem really, it just seems more appropriate that it should be started by someone who will be actively monitoring it and keeping the spam under control - which I can't do at the moment due to my silly connection (and the fact I retired from BBS-modship when I went AWOL). However, if you want to see my username next to it for the sake of familiarity, I can kind of understand that, although you should probably see a psychaitrist.
Rucklo's sent me a copy of his first post which I've kind of merged with my first post in the original AF to look something like this:

Did you wipe your bottom?
Thanks for the kind comments, guys. My internet gets disconnected tomorrow for an indefinite period, probably a couple of weeks until it's running in the new house. It's more the job than anything else that's preventing me from hanging out here as much as I'd like to - my most active times were always when I was unemployed, since I had nothing better to do than hang out in Wi/Ht or the FF answering peoples' questions.
Once my internet is back on I expect I'll pop in occasionally, when I can. I haven't considered a myself a FF reg for a very long time though. Oh, and btw, I don't think my age has anything to do with the activity levels, besides the fact that I'm a father of three, which takes up a lot of the time when I'm not working
End of a flash era?
I can sense around the forums alot of the older regs going. So were gonna have to be expecting some new up and coming talent soon. Who else agrees?
It's always been the case that older regs fade away and new ones come in. Not sure exactly what the 'rite of passage' to becoming a FF reg is, but it usually filters out the shitheads fairly successfully
Congrats to Wylo... hadn't even realised that ramagi had re-passed me. I have no intention of taking up BPing again, asked Tom to knock me down to 70/30k but I guess he's too busy for trivialities like that. #1 spot was fun while it lasted :)

Not true, my game 'Throw It' just assigns an xvel and a yvel to the mc, increases the yvel by gravity and decreases the xvel by friction. Hitting the ground just multiplies the vel by -.95

k then erm topic is..........What power would you have from the ppl out of heroes?
I don't think anything beats being able to shift through time & space. Although being able to absorb that ability and other tops it, I guess.
Also, the shapeshifting would open up all sorts of options
At 9/16/07 10:11 AM, Dugh wrote: So when there's a new reply in it, the user automatic get a PM or something like that?
Because there are a whole lot of other features, including things that have been broken since the redesign, that take priority over something like that. If you need to check topics for replies, just go through your post history. This isn't phpBB or vBulletin, thank god

No, white blood cells are what protect you against diseases and infections. Technically, in a sterile environment, you could probably survive without them, although I don't know how much fun it would be.

var pi:Number = Math.PI;
var ipi:Number = 1/pi;
var toDeg:Number = 180*ipi;
var toRad:Number = pi/180;
Nice, I'll be using those :)

At 9/16/07 03:38 AM, The-word-destroyer wrote: Why do you choose to make people feel uncomfort and even greater fear for when you die?
Why be uncomfortable with the fact that once you're dead, you're dead? If you're going to blame someone, blame the fools who give you false hope that there is life (ie, heaven/hell) beyond the grave. There's nothing to be feared about death, and the sooner you come to terms with that, the happier your life will be. While you spend your time worrying about death, you're not enjoying life to the full.
Live a full, meaningful, happy life, and you'll have no regrets when the time comes for you to leave.
At 9/16/07 03:27 AM, The-word-destroyer wrote: God has answered my prayers.... someone with an intelligent post.
God has nothing to do with it. God is just some bullshit made up by humans to make themselves feel better about the shit that they do. The concepts of heaven and hell are based upon the very thing that you're discussing, namely mankind's fear of death, but they're fictional places. If you're looking for an afterlife, particularly in terms of consciousness, then you're going to be disappointed.... the only way you'll 'live on' is when your body's molecules become part of the tree that grows in the graveyard, part of the leaves that fall, part of the insects that feed on the leaves, part of the bird that eats the insect, and so on. In that sense, you will live on indefinitely, within the infinite cycle of life and death.
