using the keyboard in AS2 Posted July 21st, 2011 in Game Development

I have been working on a game for a while and I want to make the second player controls with the keys 'W' 'A' 'S' 'D' my code for player one is
onClipEvent (enterFrame) {
if (Key.isDown(Key.LEFT)) {
this._x += 2;
}
if (Key.isDown(Key.RIGHT)) {
this._x -= 2;
}
if (Key.isDown(Key.UP)) {
this._y += 2;
}
if (Key.isDown(Key.DOWN)) {
this._y -= 2;
}
}
but it will only accept certain keys does anyone have any advice?

applying blur effects is simple enough but what about applying them in actionscript 2.0? I'm making a platforming game that I think would look alot better with motion blur effects

Wiii has way too many games that were already on the previous system "zelda" "resident evil" "mortal Kombat Armeggedon" all because of the Wii's graphics card which is nearly the same as the gamecube, the motion detection isn't nearly that inpressive either, on zelda you swing your wii like a sword but the motions you make arent immitated by link.

the best games for the Wii in my opinion are
Smash bros Brawl
Mario Galaxy
RE4
Wii Sports

The PS3 has 8 processors the xbox 360 has 3 (I think) blue ray capability and was cheapest hardware to have it when it first came out.

Orange Box

Wii is advertiised towards new gamers and family gamers or chicks if your not one of those go with the PS3.

we changed it half way thru i just need to keep reminding newcommers.

That's cool. Mine wont look too fast in 24 fps.

There is no lag. the sound just plays in the earlier scene when I put it in the last one.


For some reason the sound on my movie is fine at the begining. But doesn't go along with the movie late,r it goes faster than it. Does anyone know what the deal is? I put all the sounds on "Stream" because that's best for lip sync.
