O' the good old fashioned IP ban. Still has a few problems but I agree that it is probably the best way to get them to stop. Maybe when the flash mods are instated then one of there duties would be to keep an eye out for these shovelware games. I'd love to be a flash mod, sounds like it could be fun.

I know, it seems like they are just wasting time now with this whole flash mods thing. How long does it take to gather the icon and genre mods and simply get the best and make them flash mods. It's been weeks now and as far as I'm aware we are no closer to getting anything near a fully working whistle system back. Tom really does need to hurry up.

I think a flash would be much better as there are probably more portal-goers rather than BBS-goers on Newgrounds; however, a combination of both would be equally good...but if the users just do the opposite to annoy the thread maker, then I guess it wouldn't work.

I agree that a flash would be a better idea then a thread. I think a thread would only work if it was started by a mod or user who carried a lot of respect in the forums. This would hopefully prevent spammers or general dicks in the thread.

Oh, and why not just let ALL the users, ALL of them, no exceptions, be portal banned forever?

I'd say that it's a good idea, I'm not going to lie I'm a little confused as to how it will work even after your explanation but as much as I got seemed to be an idea that could work.

Some of the accounts do get deleted but they just make new ones to upload crap over time.

Ah, would be a good idea but there would probably be a need to keep a few shovelware games as examples of what is not acceptable anymore and the such. That and explaining what shovelware is and all. Could also make for a nice flash project where some screenshots are used instead maybe?

Good evening Pet Lovers Crew, I put this question to you all. What do you think of the whole excotic pets market? Is it harmful? Do you generally think that owning an exotic pet is a stupid idea? If not what one would you own and why? Just quite curious to what people think? Here's some links if you want some info:

Personally I'm not a big fan of the exotic pets trade if it effects an endangered species but I do like the idea of having a pet that nobody has in my area, that's probably so people think that I'm some sort of "character", somebody you'd like to have a drink with. As long as he doesn't set his Alligator on you. It would be cool to own a Slow Loris though, think it maybe endangered. I'll stick to lizards.

Sadly I think that it's going to take time for all of these games to completely disappear. Maybe this one has been reported to Tom and he hasn't got round to deleting it yet. They'll stop after a while.

The second one, although I think some more work needs to be done on the tail, it looks to simple and the shade doesn't seem right. Also the horns stand out a little and could do with toning down slightly and shade added to them. Other then that it's looking good. It's all well and good using an existing image as a reference but it is completely another thing to trace 90% of the image and then add your own thing for the other 10%. It's better to get a couple of images for reference, study them and then create an original image once you have learnt from them. Don't trace, it's just uncreative.

I'm not having a go by the way, just offering my advice.

I have a 10mm tunnel in each of my ears and I believe that anything over 16-18mm is taking it too far, they look pretty bad mate too be honest. I'm coming up to the end of the two year curse that I'm on and just the mountain of paperwork that I now have to get through is unreal. I mean, it's a digital arts course, I didn't sign up for paperwork. I know it needs to be done though so I'm slowly getting through it. Can't wait for summer and the end of it all.

Well, it's been quite a month - a lot of milestones and promotions, and even a few rank changes. Spiffymaster not only ranked up 2 positions - he also had 48 posts in the BBS this month! Cootie, BrokenDeck, Decky and ZJ also bumped up a rank as well.

That is quite a bit of change in the list this month, congrats to Spiffy for getting a lot of B/P and also being such an avid poster. I myself got more posts in this thread then the average month.

What troubles me is that out of a roster of 33, 13 members had NO activity whatsoever this month

I watched all of the videos on the map and I have to say I wasn't impressed with any of them. It was a Sonic RPG. I think that as long as it has your own artwork and music you can submit it as a parody.

I think that the copyright doesn't count if you are using it for parody as long as you draw it or for criticism. Like I could publish a video including scenes for a movie as long as I also include footage of me reviewing the scene. Strange init.
