Got some weed, because of my lack of smoke for the past couple of weeks it's blowing me away. I have a joint and have to go lay down for an hour. Not a bad thing really as I'm thinking this will last me a while longer now, gotta love how quick a tolerance can decrease. It's been a few hours since my last smoke so I think I might push it and have another. Wish me luck so I don't pass out in my garage.

Current time here (UK) is 23:06, 54 minutes until pay day. Been completely broke for over 3 weeks now, can't wait 'til my dealer gets back from work tomorrow and I can sit down and smoke a joint in my garden. Hopefully it's going to be good weather.

I keep forgetting about the Newgrounds wiki. It makes me wonder if it gets used that much.

From one of my uni projects. Basically I had these dimensions and a circle in the center, with this I had to portray one of the planets from the Gustav Holst's orchestral suite The Planets using just colour and type, this one is Mars - The Bringer of War. It's been quite a good exercise in getting to grips with typography. Two more coming soon.

Also it's been a while.

I'd personally say it is more interesting to see somebody's interpretation of a movie via a poster.

As a movie fan I love this idea. Just need to think what movie I'll do now. I'm thinking maybe They Live.

Robbed from Courage The Cowardly Dog but it works for me.

I used to be a fan of the show but I found that it just isn't that funny and I only really watched it to begin with because the concept was good but that has lost it's charm with many bad jokes and OTT use of canned laughter. Not keep up with the new season, or the one before that. This is not going to change.

I agree but naturally if this project does come to nothing then the artists still have there pieces and they can then upload them to the portal if they so wish.

How about a before/after theme on the topic, how you expected things to be - and how they really are. Two pieces per author maybe, and potentially some new ones?

I think that might be asking too much seeing as we only got a couple of entries when we were asking for just one piece. Lets give it time and see what people come up with, if anything.

Hmmm, I did think it was a good idea and would like to see it in the portal but I don't think we have anywhere near enough pieces and summer is over. I guess now that does give us a sense of what actually happened this summer. Maybe some kind of satire work (no ideas spring to mind).

So as for where this collab is, if we get more pieces it'll be made. Simples.

Wasn't such a slow week for me. I'd say I'll keep it up but really finding it hard to find the time for flash games at the moment. Dam you real life, why so time consuming.

I've recently started university and have a project that involves me writing an essay on my favorite modernism art movement. So I'm curious, what are some of the NG art forum regulars favorite modernism movement and why?

I'm thinking of picking Abstract Expressionism as I've always been a fan, especially Pollock and Rothko.

By the way this is to in no way to help with my essay, just curious on others opinions.

Haven't seen one from them in a while but it looks like they're back.

Just found out that the next episode has The Goth Kids in it. I have a little bit of hope for this season yet. Missed those guys.

Watched the latest episode and was once again slightly disappointed. What made it worse was I decided to go back and watch an older episode (Return of Chef) and laughed more even though I knew what was coming. Don't get me wrong I'm going to continue watching them when they come out but to say they are passed their best is an understatement now officially for me.

Such a shame.

Wow, this place has really slowed down in the past 6 months. I know I haven't been posting those abusive flash links but that's because I have things IRL that are stopping me, uni and what not. I hope this place doesn't go the same way as the NGPD, which I still miss. Maybe we need to get more of a general discussion feel to this thread.

I'm still voting almost everyday. Think I'm around the 75% mark since I signed up. Sometimes I do think about all those hours spent watching some idiots attempts at animation. Makes it all worth while when you come across something good though.

I have always had the theory that you don't have to do drugs to be a great musician but if you do take drugs and get musical success then the second you quit drugs your career will go downhill.
