I remember him saying that, but as far as sources of energy for things other than cars, I've not heard much. I don't think he's really made a quality effort to act on these things, but I could be wrong.
even though he doesn't know a thing about cheesesteaks. (philly kids'll understand that.)
Heh, I spose I'll have to take your word on that one.
Up to today, I've been unsure of who I would support between Kerry and Edwards, but now that Kerry has won the nomination, I've chosen to throw all my support behind him.
I decided this during his speech today, where he announced that he will support the research of new energies, trying to break America's dependance on Middle Eastern oil, a resource growing increasingly scarce.
It's projected that if we stay on this consumption track of oil, the world will be dry of it by 2020 or earlier. You know what we can't make without oil? Plastic. Think about a life without plastics for a few moments.
If you still aren't concerned about exasperating oil, read chapter 3 of Michael Moore's book, "Dude Where's My Country?". It's a scary thing to think about.
I haven't heard Bush' stance on this subject. Does anyone know what he thinks about this and if he plans to do anything?
This is going to sound ridiculous for someone that's not exactly new to flash to ask this, but I can't get gradients to work right.
In my project, I have windows that I want to gradually go from black to white as it goes down, but I can't get them to work.
Can anyone help?
(This is just one from, not a fade tween)

When you click on an object in the scene editor, on the properties panel, you'll probably see "Color: None".
Click on none and go down to alpha, then you can set the amount of fade.
As for fading in and out, it's just tweens using the alphas.

It's like when I ask my mom why she thinks Buddhism or Hinduism is wrong, she can only say "Because it's not Christian."
I haven't seen the movie yet, either. I'll probably wait until it's out on video.
What I've read, though, tells me this is less of a spiritual movie than it is a movie focusing on the mutilation of a human body.
I have a feeling this movie will please Christians and Catholics and turn anyone else away.

I believe he was referring to the "Divine Rule of Kings". Kings of Europe would be in constant war because they all thought God was on their side and wanted them to spread their rule. No one is going to back down if God is on their side, don't you think?

Yeah, this is either a joke or some type of college assignment where you try to get people riled up like MAVV.

Telling his people that he had the right to do whatever the fuck he wanted to simply because the "god" of his country told him to. Bush was quoted as saying that God had told him to strike Afghanistan, so he did. God then told him to strike Iraq, which he did again. I don't know what the readers' religious beliefs are, but government should not be influenced by any religion. That is just one aspect of a horrible leader. I could go on for pages and pages complaining and protesting. Come this election, vote the mother fucker out!
While Bush has done some of the stupidest shit ever recorded, I've never heard of him claim he had spoken to "God". Could you provide some evidence of this? You have me interested. Maybe I've been sleeping under a rock.
One other thing, I will definitely be voting the mother fucker out.

Yeah, I was quite surprised as I watched it. He seemed like a different person for a few short moments.
I wonder what she thinks about this all? Imagine if she spoke out against her father.. Woof.
That would be great. I really hope she goes public about it in some form. That would really stir things up.

This site only made me now fully support Ralph Nadar. I now believe I would not vote for the Democrats, seeing as they are merely like the Tories at home. If Nadar, running for the Greens, matches my POlitical opinion more, then i will vote for him. Simple as that. With less than 50% of Americans going to the polls, just persuade some of the others to vote for you.
1st, just to correct you, Nader is running as an Independant, he doesn't have Green support like he did in 2000.
While I'm angered because it increases Bush' chances of re-election, Ralph Nader deserves to be in this race just as much as any of the other candidates. We need to see more parties represented in all elections for the chance that some day it won't be a "lesser of two evils" decision for some people.
I will be voting democrat in this election for the sole and unwavering purpose of driving Bush out of office. Statitistically, the democrats are the only ones that have a sliver of a chance at achieving this, but I support the variety.
CNN was just showing the 2000 Vice Pres. debate where Dick Cheney showed his support for homosexual equality, saying it's no one else's business what two grown people do, as long as it doesn't affect anyone else. Now, today the Bush administration has completely reversed that view.
Also, Cheney's daughter is a homosexual.
I'm growing weary of this debate. I've been argueing non-stop with others at my school about this. I'll say it again, no one else has the right to influence the freedoms and priveledges of another person, as long as those freedoms do not affect others. Gay marriage has no effect on anyone but the people it brings together.
I'm just thankful there's little-to-no chance this amendment would ever be passed.

If you want to get yourself cleared or have something to ask about the audio portal, you should follow the link and post in the topic it takes you to.
Mike
Yeah, I saw that topic a few minutes after I posted this one. Oh well, I got it cleared, didn't I?
Sorry about the clutter, though. Unneccessary topics piss me off, too.

I still go to the AP... It needs attention, too.
Heeeeey, the zoink thing worked. I wonder how.........
Thanks.
About 3 weeks ago, I tried submitting my first mp3 to the audio portal. I was told that since I was a new artist, I had to wait around 4 days before my submission could be reviewed by an admin or someone to make sure it wasn't crap. That was Jan. 28th... Now, on Feb. 23rd, my file can be viewed in my profile, but you can't download it or find it in the portal still.
Is there a huge backlog of these? Was mine just overlooked?
What's the deal?

Why? Polls are showing favor for Kerry is beating Bush 55% to 45% and Edwards beating Bush at 54%.
If we had an election today, Bush would be out of there.

Thoughts, comments?
I actually had a nightmare just the other night where Jeb became prez in 2008. Sadly, I can see it happening if Bush were re-elected, I mean, don't we need to keep our close ties with Saudi Arabia "in the family"?

Definitely. Kerry with Edwards as VP would be an almost unstoppable team. Edwards can pull in a lot of southern voters that aren't too sure about Kerry, plus Edwards would just be a cool VP. I wouldn't mind his ideas on education getting put into action right around the time I'll be heading to college.

So where did you get 67%? Funny, what did you just say about made up poll results?
Even funnier, now from CNN's latest poll results, the approval rating is at 48%. So I ask again: Where did you get your 67% from? Ratings as far back as the day Saddam was captured? "Made up poll results don't count".
As some of you may know, the Washington state caucuses began today.
I live in an extremely conservative community. All across my city, you'll see signs saying "Support Our President", etc. Basically, if you live in my town, you're considered conservative until proven otherwise.
I had no faith in my community until today. At the caucus, MANY republicans showed up, not to protest, but to show their support for the democratic candidates. Even though they couldn't vote, these people showed up to let people know that even as republicans, they will vote for whoever the democrats choose to run against Bush, just because they can't take another 4 years of him!
That, to me, really shows how bad our Bush situation is getting. I'm very proud of all of them for sticking their heads out like this.
