Just the normal

stage.stageDisplayMode = StageDisplayMode.FULLSCREEN

if I remember rightly.

It runs faster because flash is then running as an external application outside the browser so more system resources are allocated to it. Something like that.

I may be wrong.

That's pretty cool stuff. Genetic algorithms are really fun in MIDI. Parents and children. Dominant and recessive traits. Fun times. Your predator problem (with the spinning laziness) sounds truly funny out of the Akai.

It is funny. just a shame it does it.

You have to "push" it when it gets stuck. I know that's sounds weird, and I have no idea how to do that in flash, but I'm sure you'll find a way.

I'll do that a bit later.

Click to kill.

Had a go at genetic algorithms. They were interesting to do. Here's my attempt at a predator prey kind of setup. Whenever all of the current 'generation' are dead the highest scoring ones (kills + time spent alive) are bred together and then some mutations are throne in (I kept mutations rather high). Unsurprisingly the prey become rather well adapted rather quickly due to them developing the 'calm' gene in which they only move when approached. The predators suck though, due to the 'feeding time at the zoo' kind of scenario they become 'lazy' and just end up spinning around in circles. The only known issue is that as the prey get better they tend to trap themselves in the corners out of reach of the predators. if that happens just resize your browser window to view them and then click on them to 'terminate' them.

Meh.

It would be nice if flash dealt with rotation in radians by default but I suppose I can just set a property rotationRad and set it so that rotation = (rotationRad*180)/PI But still, meh.

In my opinion it's just apple's way of controlling there world. They always have done it and always will. They make their own machines. They make their own operating systems. And they hold a very tight leash on everything else. It's just the way they roll. Also the performance of flash on the iPhone was crap but doing this to Adobe was cold.

Yeah local files are what does it for me. Spotify really does get better and better, I just hope they dont bloat it with features. Its still not even version 1 is it?

They probably will but will only realise when it's too late.

I need to upgrade to premium, those domestic abuse adverts really do ruin sex :)

All I hope for is that they've fixed the shuffle function. Then I can die a happy man.

I like Socialism, not so much the corruption of socialism into communism but you know.
