All you have to do is quote Nietzsche and you get the A*.

Sorry about double post but I love that game. You did an awesome job.

Yeah, woops
Tad early this year but it's time to vote for the 2010 Flash forum Awards. Do so once and once only. And don't vote for yourself. Bit of fun is all. If you need to talk do it in The Flash 'Reg' Lounge.
Voting ends: 11:59 pm, December 31st, 2010. (Not early I swear).

2009 Flash Man/Woman of the Year
This person made major strides on the forum this year. Could have been extremely negative strides or positive ones, the point is, that 2010 would not be 2010 without this person's name in there.
Now go vote.
I recently found out a bear I shot was a mathematician. He's my rug now but his maths was superb. His greatest work was on Furmat's Last Theorem.
Any of you guys got any?

GT5 is actually really good. Not much has changed but there's something really nice about what they've done with it.
I would add flOw to that list, its a great game. I never owned any of the PS3 ones but Ratchet & Clank was an epic game on PS2, might want to check that out I dunno.
New Ratchet and Clanks are still good but not as good as the old ones. Feels like they're losing something.

I find it completely useless.
Nicer than photoshop when you need something done quickly.
Generally, are there more efficient ways to access data than just looping through it?
Is it better to use methods to add in nodes or do it manually?
Is it worth having a linked list class and a node class or just a node class?
Stuff like that.
Just wondering whats the best practice to use with linked lists?

Okay, maybe not.
Music glorify crime being banned has been a controversial but not often debated idea for a long time. There is too much speculation over evidence of whether music that glorifies crime incites it to draw a strong conclusion. But that's why we invented the internet, to debate things to speculative to debate in real life. So the question is this:
Should music that glorifies crime in anyway be banned?

It's cause making "mechanical"-feeling puzzles is easier than making "organic"-feeling puzzles. Funny thing, Portal had both, but apparantly people seemed to forget about the second half of the game where you break out of the engineered testing facility into the ductwork of the facility where things weren't nice and organized like the rest of the game.
Portal's mechanical feel seemed almost organic though, or is it just me, the personalities of the turrets and glados made it seem friendly. I think that's what people want but can't get it.
The real problem with racism is that all English people think all French people think that all English people are racist. So who's racist?

Most helpful reply ever.
But correct, when tweening drag the center of rotation of the object when using free transform to the center of the planet. (Note: centre of rotation is the lovely little circle in the center of the movieclip). Then just rotate around to where it needs to be and wahey. Or use the rotation option.
At 11/13/10 06:11 PM, Blounty wrote: Yeh, if you want to be like that. What happens to creative 14 year olds, who can't afford the software. They could of ended up to be the greatest animator of the century, yet they never got the chance because the software was so expensive.
I know it is a rule not to tell people to download it illeagally, but what is a 14 year old paying 600 dollar software going to do if they end up not liking it, and most people when they get old enough to be able to pay for it will do.
Surely then a 14 year old has the right to steal anything then that they can't afford because they could be the best at anything. You can't reason the way you do because the actual chances of these 14 year olds being super animators is low. Can't people just try things out with paint and moviemaker, it's free, it's not getting people into bad habits of stealing.
Just have a parameter in you're constructor...
function className (mainStage:Stage)
...then of course...
var foo:className = new className(stage);
...that'll have to be in your document class as no other class has access to the stage by default, so in the class where you want to handle the key event...
mainStage.addEventListener(blah blah blah);
And yeah, that should do the trick.
One note, if the memory keeps going up and up and you can't figure out why, it could always be helpful, for debug purposes, to keep a count of how many listeners are on an object so you can check if you've forgot to remove any.
Just loop backwards.
