Anyone thing they can help me? Visual C# won't install on my computer. It downloads fine but, the moment I start installing, setup.exe has stopped working and it says it cannot install. Windows Event Viewer gives these details on the error:

Seems like it should work.
Thanks it's working now.
It worked once I removed the blur and only used blendMode.
Forgot that all important line.
var rotateTo:int = 180;
var rVel:Number = 0;
function (event:Event)
{
rVel = (rotateTo - this.rotation)/10;
this.rotation += rvel;
}

What like:
var rotateTo:int = 180;
var rVel:Number = 0;
function (event:Event)
{
rVel = (rotateTo - this.rotation)/10;
}
Also haven't we had this color scheme discussion like a million times before?
The OP is a complete and utter idiot.
Use AS3 and use the SOUND_COMPLETE event.
Does anyone know if it's possible to change the alpha of textfields?
I can't seem to get it working for some reason. The alpha doesn't change and flashplayer crashes when in debug mode. I've tried giving it a blur with all parameters as 0 and I've tried setting the blendmode to layer, but that doesn't seem to working. I'm using flashDevelop by the way.

Will it work with Notepad++
Progress driven by incidental lack of choice. Very good.
Why conscription should be mandatory.
Thanks, worked perfectly.
To be honest it was never actually my choice to move to FD but my registry became damaged and so I had to move to FD but now I've made the change I really like working with it. Now I can use haXe. :)
Never embedded before as I've only just started using FlashDevelop.
Just tried embedding but I keep getting the run time error Error:
Error #2136: The SWF file contains invalid data.
Just wondering why this happens.
Class code:
package {
import flash.display.Bitmap;
[Embed(source="copter.png",mimeType="application/octet-stream")]
public class Ball extends Bitmap
{
public function Ball()
{
}
}
}

Sure, CCB isn't perfect gameplay, but it more than makes up with good old wholesome racism. Tarboy is beautifully animated, the racial title is just a bonus.
I never really got into CCB, don't know why, just never caught my fancy. Technically though it is awesome. I find the game mechanics are just tuned so that it can be amazingly frustrating and addicting at the same time. Probably why I never got into it, I hate addicting games. :P
Also TarBoy was pretty neat but I reckon The Last of the Dashkin will win it because everyone's such a whore for Adam Philips.
Time Fcuk should win the Game Award hands down. Although it'll be a close race as their are so many good games in the list.

That's one of my biggest weaknesses. I'll try working on that.
and the whole beauty of poems is to use words to write more complicated/mysterious ways (while making sense). For instance, "he is a brick" could've and should've been written in such a way that was a bit more complex and gets the audience to think a little, like this:
He is a a block shaped element of the wall that stands next to me
Just something a bit more fun and complex than a simple "he is a brick".
Okay, I'll change that.
I found the last line quite hard to be forceful and blunt but also to actually fit in. I ended with that line because i hate poems that end in total ambiguity but I'll try adjusting that next time.
OH MY GOSH BEVELS!!!!!!!
Nice.
Sarcasm, I'm such a douche.
My Friends
A nice young man visited me one day,
Entered in a hurry but, when he arrived, he just sat,
And looked at me,
And pondered.
What he was pondering escapes me
But I quickly grew to love him.
He always seemed to be quite red in the face,
And sometimes had a cold demeanour about him,
He was calm,
He was like stone,
But the conversations we had were like no other,
He was very thoughtful.
Soon he showed me some of his friends,
They too arrived quickly and were good company,
Too many though,
They entered too loudly,
So I met their guardians and we had a talk.
The talk did not go well.
Soon I met some new friends,
Ones who would actually talk to me,
We moved in together,
They gave me home,
They'd talk to me for long periods,
They too were thoughtful.
I decided to leave one day,
I decided to go back home,
They did not like this,
They wailed,
I ran as fast as I could
But they would not leave me alone.
And now I spend my time at home again,
Like a ghost of social conduct,
Whispering sweet nothings,
In the embrace of a life I once had.
And that red faced friend talks to me.
He is a brick.
This cars lush. I love the angle and the lighting. It's adds to the beauty rather takes away. Nice.
Windows ME was my favourite operating system of all time.
