So what do I need? Well I'm just making a lame visual novel. And I would like to have some ambience for it. And I just can't compose.
Now, I can't offer compensation for your effort. Hell, I'm just making the game for fun. And I'm looking for someone who just makes music for fun... We should hang out, you know? We can eat dinner, I'll take you back to my place to watch star wars. When it's over, we'll get cuddly and I'll let you stick your music in my game. Let's just see what happens...
EW gawd. No. I just need help getting my game moving....
You know what? I should stop talking. This is what I need:: Background Music -> Me.

Like you're reading along and you get to a part where it give the reader a choice and depending on what you choose it advances the story along one way or another and sometimes ends the story.
Or am I thinking of something totally different?
You're pretty much on track. If I had the time and money, I would definitely be interested in a full fledged visual novel, with 6-10 unique endings. However I have none of those things. So I'll only be offering 1 ending. But that's the point. Offering. You could imagine it like your first play through of mass effect. You only saw one ending. But you, as the player, knew mass effect had more than one ending. So you play it again, to explore more of what the world and it's characters had within its files. I will be offering the same choices and options, BUT, we'll only be playing the game once. I offer the vastness, and the web of choices I have planned and even then some, but I will make one line of that web. You decide where the line goes. So I hope it'll be a novel experience.
I hope it will be outright fun for the people involved. When it's over you'll be left to wonder, what it would have been like if everyone hadn't screwed up the romance with "so and so". Or what would have happened if the players had told me to stay and fight during a scene, instead of running away. Or maybe if the final episode releases and we get a "bad" karma ending, what would the story have been like if the community had voted "good" karma?
But I guess I'll be releasing it soon. I just got a few kink I'm working out on the functionality of NewGrounds.
First time I've gotten two genuine levels of interest. And I think the poll idea is a good method (probably simple to set up once I figure out this website) I guess my search through the internet wasteland can takes rest here.
Which is good, means I get to keep the user name.
TL:DR I want to make a flash game, Is this the place for it?
Well, of course yes, you guys have games here. BUT I'm kind of worried about the type of game I intend to create, and I'm uncertain if this is the spot on the internet it belongs. Genre speaking, I guess it'll be a RP/Episodic/Visual Novel? Now the key word to that is Episodic. See I don't want to make this game on my own. And I'm not asking for help, in the way of tech support or artists, but in the way I want the story to be player driven. By a Hive-mind of internet folk. Think of it like an "ask blog" on Tumblr. I want to create the content, but i want a community to guide it as they want it.
In a conventional visual novel, the player is periodically presented with choices. X or Y, during a discussion. But I don't want to present forced choice, I want someone to message me like "Punch him in the face for the next episode". And well, after collecting the feedback, You may very well see someone get punched in the face next episode. I guess I'm just asking to make something that isn't just my name in the credits
I see there are visual novels already here, as well as the simplistic point and click adventures. But can an episodic community driven Role Play game call this place home too? I don't even know, if there is an interest for something like that here.
I'd appreciate anyone's thoughts (man, i don't even know how responsive people are around here...... Or nice, DON'T CRUCIFY ME)
