Whatever you want from me. Here's the thing: I'll make an engine to show how the game will operate, and if you like it, hire me to make it. If you like the final product, pay me for making said game, and I ask to be co-authored and for my logo to be in the game. That's my deal.

How about instead, help me finished Vizzed Flash Bash for $500 and I'll let you be co-author and for your logo to be placed in it.

What exactly do you mean by adjustable options? I have a bt of free time, so if it takes < week I might be able to help.

What I meant by adjustable options are this:

The settings they will be able to set will be:
-How many lives each person starts with
-How many series will be played
-How much time on the clock (also the user can turn the clock off if they don't want any count down); the user can seelct a number in minutes
-If sudden death is on or off
-Also they can choose how the winner is chosen; here are 3 different ways the winner can be chosen:
---Most Points: You gain a point for knocking someone out, you lose a point for getting knocked out. The person with most points wins the round and gets 1 point for the series. With this one, everyone has unlimited lives. This round HAS to have a time limit.
---Most KO's: Whoever knocks out the most people. The person with the most knockouts at the end of the round is the winner and gets a point toward the series. With this option, sudden death option cannot be selected. Also, this option has to have a time limit.
---Last man standing: Play until everyone is out of lives except 1 person. The person gets 1 point for the series and the person with the most points at the end of the series is the winner.

CPU opponents means that when you play this game, you can play against 3 other characters which have their own intelligence and that fight you.

The game was made with AS2 and the adjustable options would include setting a time limit, being able to choose how many lives each player gets, how many rounds you play, etc.

mwmike: If you're really interested in this, than let me know what things you're willing to do for the game and we can begin working on this.

I'm open to suggestions but here are the things I need done for my Vizzed Flash Bash game and how much I'm willing to pay a flash game developer to add those things to my game.

The game can be viewed here:
http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/45 8165

What I'm willing to pay you to add to the game (my budget is $500 so you can pick what you want to add):
-Add CPU Opponents = $250
-Add an Adventure mode = $250
-Adjustable Options = $100
-Sudden Death and Time = $100
-Any other features you think the game should have
(having an online mode added probably isn't within my budget yet)

I've got a game called Vizzed Flash Bash which is sorta based on Super Smash Bros.
http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/45 8165

Anyway, I'm looking for a coder out there to help out with the project. Things I'm interested in having implemented:
-CPU Opponents
-Added characters and/or levels
-Online functionality
-Adventure Mode
-etc

Basically I'm looking for someone who would be able to do any of those, but right now I'm most interested in having CPU implemented.

Anyone who helps out would be added to the credits. If you're only interested in helping if you'll be getting paid for it, I have a small budget but can hire someone for under US $250 to do any of these features also.

* Pikachu (with a pokemon stadium for a level)
* Bomberman (based on snes)
Bowser (based on mario bros 1 in super mario all stars for snes)
Bonk (the guy from the turbo grafx games)

$1000 could buy me a good computer and an awesome 3D engine. Heck, $0 could afford me a decent 3D engine. As for 2D engines, pfft, who actually needs one? And Flash is the easily platform to publish for. Honest. That's why I love it.

In 300 hours, there could be so much done... I haven't spent 300 hours on anything... ever.

I suspect the real SSBB only took 300 hours or longer because it wasn't a PC game. They had to worry about the specs of the hardware and the authenticity of the characters. Also, that game is gorgeous. Not your game; the real SSBB.

You seriously don't know what you're talking about do you. Games take a lot longer than that to make, why else do you think most games take over a year to make, cost millions and the game designers usually have to work over time (which is more than 40 hours a week fyi).

Just reply to it saying what position you're willing to help with. I'm gonna drop the india coders after they've reached the 50% mark with the game. Thanks for everyones advice though, learned not to outsource to foreign countries.

Well the india coders I hired for this did a few sloppy things but they aren't done. I've asked them to get rid of all the bugs before I pay them for the first half of the game and also to add more features. So there will be a few more things added for the price I'm paying them. However, once the game is 50% complete, I will probably have to find some people willing to help finish the game for free.

Well if any of you guys think you could do the rest of the work for free, I'm willing to let anyone help me out with completing this project. Obviously it still has glitches and such, it's only 48% complete after all.

But I think it's pretty good for a platform flash game, collision detection is pretty good also.

The coders are from india, which explains why they've put so many hours into the game. I myself have put 50 hours into it and that all includes sound ripping/editing, graphic ripping/editing, planing, menu graphics, documentation, etc.

Even highly paid developer couldn't do what is here right now for under 100 hours. The reason I know this is becuase most developers were charging $5000 - 10,000 to develop this game when I was searching for a developer.

Sorry about that :P

Here is the post without the wrong code:

What is Vizzed Flash Bash?
Vizzed Flash Bash is a free flash game that I have created/directed that's been in development for over 6 months now and is "sorta" a 'Super Smash Bros' clone/remake in Flash except based on the 16 bit gaming era. The graphics are 2D and directly based on the classic retro games from the early 90's. So the characters you play as will function almost identical to how they were in their original games, and the levels, music and sounds are based entirely on the original games. When the game is finished, it'll support 4 players to play online together (in their browser window) and the game will also record all stats, wins, losses, etc.

Here is the current demo of the game at 48% completion
(demo of game at 50% completion will be available in about a week)

The game so far has already cost over $1000 to make (I've hired developers to do most of the coding with my own money), and already over 300 hours have been put into the game. Once the game is 50% complete (which is a week from now), it will be suspended until we've reached $1000 in donations (because I have no more money to continue funding this game) or until I find some developers to help out with finalizing the game.
Let me know if you're interested in helping out by either donating to the game or coding some of it to make it online multiplayer (and to add the rest of the features)

Here is the official website regarding the game
http://www.vizzed.com/vizzedboard/f orum.php?id=64

Current Characters - Mario, Luigi, Sonic, Tails, Mega Man and Wolverine
Current Levels - 2 from Super Mario World (world 1 and castle), 2 from Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (green hill and casino night), 1 from Mega Man (final boss, dr wiley), 1 from X-Men (centinel level)
Future Characters - Pikachu, Donkey Kong, Bowser, Charizard, Snake, Master Chief, Darth Vader, Bomberman, Bonk and characters from various games including Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, X-Men, etc...]As the game progresses (and upon request), more levels and characters will be added[/b]

List of current and future features
-Up to 4 people play online in real time
-Ability to chat while playing online with others
-All scores, stats, wins and losses recorded to a profile
-Battle mode
-Sudden Death
-Adventure mode (future feature)
-Coin Race
-Ability to adjust all options

Probably not. Likewise, the person who is going to be my developer is also going to sorta be my partner, help me come up with game idea's for kids and such. Of course they are going to do a lot of the programming.

I don't know why I'm being attacked by so many of you, why does it matter to you guys if choose to do it the way I am? I regret posting this offer on newgrounds, full of to many angry kids.

Well obviously it'd be really retarded for me to hire athiests to develop christian games. The person I'd hire would have to be familiar with the bible enough that they would know what they are making the game about. Additionally, this isn't a full time job, it's not even a real job, so there's no laws against this.

Also, $10 an hour isn't bad considering I don't require a college education, you can do it right from home (saves you gas right there) and I already said that later on I'd pay more.

And sorry for putting this into the wrong forum, was unsure which forum it belonged to.

I'm looking for someone to be "sorta" my partner for a flash game website (but I will also sorta be your boss since I will be paying you hourly).

Some of the games we will be developing are Christian games.

Pre-requisites (and please say you agree to each of these conditions):
-Must be a Christian
-Must be a Conservative (or atleast have mostly conservative views)
-Willing to work for around $10 an hour (for now, this will be more in the future)
-Willing to put in up to 20 hours a week (possibly more if you want more hours)
-Have to have experience with developing quality flash games

I'm looking to begin working with someone and paying them for their work as early as next week!
