Very true, very true, but the bathroom is undergoing some remodeling, at the moment they only have 1 stall built.

now now, let's not get ahead of ourselves here folks, I never said I was even close to finishing with even the sketches. I'd say I have roughly 20 more people to go.

Here's an example of a submission

Stall Door Collab

Stall Door Collab Posted November 25th, 2009 in Art

You read right, The Stall Door Art portal Collab!
Ever go to a public bathroom and see the walls covered in drawings, senseless writing, and penises?
Ever wanted to add to the fun but didn't conveniently have a sharpie on hand to scribble something quick on there?
WELL YOU ARE IN LUCK!
RULES
=====
Convenient wall doodle size! 300x300!

Background must be transparent! Send me the PNG, or link to a png. JPEGS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED!
Because of this transparency requirement, that unfortunately means only digital! Quality control will be fairly lenient, these are meant to be doodles after all.

I'm hoping to get this submitted as M, penises? Go for it, but don't get carried away.

Max number of submissions is 5! due to the small size

Try to keep things simple as you would with a doodle or a little sentence on a regular stall door!

Due date is January 10th!
At the risk of sounding like an idiot, I think that's it
======================
"But M-vero," You may be asking yourself, "how are you going to take on so many projects at once?"
And the answer is, I'm not! This is a collab, I am not the only one doing this! (Hopefully)

Here's a basic template of how things will be set up.

The finished thing isn't gonna be straight across, I'm gonna have some kind of composition to it.
But for the sketches, yeah it's going straight across

Aww man I missed out on all the fun.
None-the-less my 2 cents
And belittling a form of art cause you don't like it isn't being egotistical, saying you're art is better than anime isn't egotistical?
Ironic?
I love when people barge in and start throwing insults around for no good reason, because they don't like a style, and who ever speaks up first "has an ego" and gets the brunt of the baseless argument.
Everyones has a style they cling too, no one is original, not you, not Cypress, no one, EVERYONE copies from everyone. Anyone who thinks they're style is all their own needs to get their head outta their asses.

Jeese, by fairly large and scale them down, I meant double or triple for a couple of these guys.
I think the problem is you are drawing too big, so you can't make those long quick strokes.
For when I'm just doing some regular sketches I usually do about 1k by 1k for these guys I'm trying to keep them fairly regular so they're 400x599

also how do you get such clean lines in photoshop, i cant do it is it something to do with the canvas size, brush type or just skill

ummm, i draw these fairly large and scale them down, but for the most part, its practice, I'v just gotten so used to doing quick strokes(this style helps tremendously with it being so loose and simple) I Don't normally go over 5 for brush size for lines for this I'm doing 3.

No update tonight, however I am off for thanksgiving stating tomorrow till next monday so expect some big updates.

or are you gonna call me a piece of shit that cant draw?

2 more sketches, I'm not likin' Johnny, he came out a bit too generic, but I don't want to make him just a tankman or a castle crasher.
Definitely doing to have to redraw him.

At 11/23/09 06:07 PM, ornery wrote: Maybe its just me but arent you getting pissed at all the people throwing complaints or suggestions when it comes to drawing their person?

For projects like this I leave it all up to the artist, people who they deem worthy will get drawn, and the whole point is they get drawn in the way that the artist views them. Requesting changes to a character with anything short of "i have no idea who that person is, maybe give a hint or make it clearer" would just piss me the hell off if this were my project. But its not, so kudos to you for not biting peoples heads off.

Suggestions are fine with me, I like to here people opinions of what they would like to have themselves as, but ultimately it's up to me to decide, and also to have a little fun at their expense.
