Why do i think this is adorable
must be the fluffy affect of the brush
Here's a pretty good tutorial on pencil shading, and this one's really good with light sources

Did you read his post?
However at some point you scanned it into the computer and could have easily used the reference again, when you're inking your lines, digitally or not, it's okay to fix things, even if they aren't necessarily broken, drawing something and than simply tracing your lines is boring, keep your work loose, it's more fun for you, believe me.
I'm not saying be lazy with your work, just to clarify, still put in just as much effort.
Front Paged, couldn't have done it without you guys!

Colored outlines are fine but don't make them lighter than what they are outlining, it doesn't give a good affect.

Seems like it'd make an interesting christmasey texture
Don't limit yourself to one style, you will constantly improve and find new and better ways to draw. having a set style usually gives you a mindset to stick to that style and not try anything new.

The same way you would sketch anything else, are you asking how to create symbolism?
Are you looking how to make the patterns, just look at the patterns and draw how you think they flow.
mmmmMMMMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Midnight tonight is the deadline to give renae the info, cards should be mailed to her by tomorrowish I believe
Okay there is a few things that should be done, Names, only one character has a name yet, i vote we keep obligatory black friend for comedic affect.
Try to keep the randomness down, randomness ruins every single one of these threads
I'm lookin at you gum

As they think, John snaps his fingers. "I have the perfecto plan!" he said. His two friends wondered if it was a good idea to trust him but went with it anyway.
Obligatory black friend suggests donating some of the money, but John has bigger plans.
I'd say probably this for a couple of reasons.
It was the first picture I did I would actually consider a digital painting.
It is the first piece I actually spent more than 1 or 2 sittings to do.
And because for some reason I really like the background and how I did the trees.

Yay! There will be brawl is a great series, anyone who would like to see a more serious version of our beloved Nintendo should check them out.
Either way, that is a project for another day, for now it is the AFGS, and they will stay quite stationery
pretty much, but i meant more along the lines of having the lights in color and grayscale everything else.
I'm just going on what i usually see in edited photography, i don't know jack myself other than personal preference.
If I may make a suggestion about your photography, you should try going into photoshop with some of these and messing with the hues and contrasts and things

I couldn't understand what it was at first glance, I though it was a "monster glob". And shading is just messing up the whole pic. But as they say, practice makes perfect. You need a lot of practice. I hope you improve anyway.
But nobody is perfect, so why practice? :D
As a follow up to that, here are some awesome anatomy tutorials and a pencil shading tutorial
