Response to: How did you get so good at drawing? Posted November 20th, 2009 in Art

Well I'm sure by the time I post, the rules will already have been linked to so I won't bother.

Most people here are more than likely self taught as most people here aren't the age or are in college atm. Personally I am self taught, but anyone on here will tell you, practice, study, more practice, and the will to improve will pretty much how to do so.

It's always also good to have someone to look up to art-wise. There are a few artists on here and a few cartoonist I look up to; such as Mike Krahulik(Penny Arcade) and Lar Desouza(Least I Could Do/LFG)

A bit lacking in depth, If you use a tablet I'd say practice a bit more, if you don't I'd say stick to paper and pencil if you have a scanner/camera

Kind of amateur searching, you could do better. But it looks promising, keep working at it.

Art Forum Group Shot Posted November 18th, 2009 in Art

I've decided to take on a bit of a project over the next couple months.
Usually when I draw, sketch, paint, etc, a picture, I on,y have maybe 1 or 2 characters in it, 3 tops. I'm terrible at large groups and big projects despite they are usually fun in the long run. Normally I also have no idea what to draw but thankfully I'm part of a forum filled with creative minds who have themselves or another character/alter ego/something that represents them.

Over the next couple months I will slowly progress in a huge group shot of the art forum regulars based on user images, characters, their style, what have you to represent them well enough that you'll know who it is.
TL;DR I am making a huge group project of the art forum regs over the next couple months.

I will sketch out people as ideas for what I'm gonna do come to me, in no particular order, and update my progress on this forum.

Naturally it will get progressively larger so high res progress images will eventually be submitted as sketches in the art portal.

And here's what I got so far.
