For simplicity, I do find C4D to be simpler, but I still prefer Maya. I did attempt to use Blender, but it seems way too complicated and I was too lazy to learn it. Maybe one day I'll give it a try again.

Blenders not worth it, bredren.

For it being simple I would suggest Cinema 4D,

We learned with Cinema 4D for 3d modelling and animation first year at uni, then later years we got to use 3dmax and XSI which is using the same basics but with a lot more choices/tools and power. So for starting C4D is a great place.

Well yeah but what America did was basically take a chair and wrap it around Japans face.

America did about 1% of the stuff they think they did, that's just how they like it. As long as they have poems it's all good.

Twilight, hmmmm.... a book targeting at female preteens who don't quiter understand the story. The book is mostly dialog which is just terrible, the girls who read it will defend it with a passion, and well I still can't get over the fact that it broke every rule of vampires.
LIEK OHMAHGAWD U SMELLZ LIEK STRAWBERIES I DONT NO IF I WANT TO EET U OR KIS U

No doubt it's aimed at a younger female audience, it's not my cup of tea, but again no-one asked anyone to like it. I personally think it's pretty good for what it's meant to be and who it's for and as for the breaking every vampire rule in the book? It's fiction there are no rules.

At 12/9/08 06:55 AM, JohnnyWang wrote: But it is. First of all, people seem to be buying into the books rather questionable definition of love, and as I said, stealing thunder. There are only so many movies that can be produced, and so few stories that can be hyped by media, and there are more deserving ones than Twilight.

The love story does start as an obsessive love, which is a pretty weak attempt at saying true love, but again it is just a story and it does build up into something a little deeper, but then again I'm not arguing about it's definition on love, as each to their own.

As for the more deserving, I can't really state a comment as life goes on and films get made and don't get made, that's life. You can choose to watch or not to watch. Hating on a film because it got chosen to be developed over something you would prefer is pointless. Life is too short to be worried about things like these.

As for the Discworld, the books are great and a hollywood film would probably be hated for the choice of actors anyway and how they do it, so no-one can win.

We have a slight semiotic cofusion here.

The events of a book or a movie etc. is a plot. Everything that happens to the characters and the verse during it, before it and after it are the story, this according to literary analysis theory.

Plot -"The pattern of events or main story in a narrative or drama."

I would argue that the main story is all based around the development of the forbidden love, where as the twists and effort at some action are somewhat just side events. But I'm more than happy with you having your own opinion, but I just see Twilight doing nothing wrong.

There is always something more deserving, but Twilight is fine in my mind for what it is, I can't complain.
