Best thing to do is to just change the password to some gibberish, maybe set the email to a random email you never use anymore, and forget about it entirely after creating a new account.
Why is that always the solution to "I want my account deleted". He clearly expressed he wanted to wipe all traces of himself. Changing the password and just "forgetting" about it does not solve OPs problem.
I get sick of seeing that as a solution for deleting accounts. It solves nothing.
It's not like the admins are so swamped with work they can't delete accounts. If we take Tom, Wade, Jim, Bob, Rob, Mike, Tim, Stamper, JohnnyUtah, Mindchamber and Psychogoldfish that is an unbelievable amount of administrative man-power, can't ONE of these guys just hit the delete button? For God's sake, THAT'S WADE'S JOB AND HE CAN'T EVEN BE FUCKED TO DO IT.
For how many potential hours are spent on this site (11 staff doing, say, 40 hours a week), nothing ever seems to get done on time.
