The only game I can remember that might be harder than abadox is silver surfer on the NES. Infact while your at it go see if you can play that game on that site where you play abadox.

Its more of a "Life force" or "Gradius" clone. And life force was very hard too.

I made a graphics hack for this game too. But its for an emulater. I might give the link someday too.

Heres a great way to get to the first level. Shoot and Collect the blue things. Use the spred gun and. And there you have it your at the first boss. The skulls are the reason level one is hard.

You know whats quite funny?
I have a game on the NES called life force which was released before abadox.
And its very simaler to abadox.
Exept that life force is abit better.
The music is better.
The story is better.
The enemies and boss's are better.
And the ripple and fangs look better. the ripple in life force grows so its like a ripple gun when in abadox when I first saw it I thought it was a ring gun. And the fangs look like it came from a beast when in abadox they are slow and blue for some reson. And the way you see the boss's come in life force feels like there ready to fight you. well some of them.
maybe i have won abadox alittle too much and I should play more life force. there are limited continues in life force. and you can hold down the shoot button and if you lose a live you come back where you were that is if you still have lives. and some enemies come unexepted and objects too!

I have made a list of how hard the boss's are:

1. Bau(mutant dog). pretty easy
2. Death face: the most easy boss in the game
3. Tape worm: short battle if you find a quicker way to defeat him (with powerups I think)
4. Eyeball in mouth that shoots stars? (I have no idea what it is): with rockets it's very easy
5. Shark: get a spread gun or homing rocket powerup to make him easy.
6. Pink big body thingy with creapy looking head? (no idea what this is either): err very easy
7. King crab: well you don't have much room but i would rate him sorta easy
8. The dreaded cilia monster (big worm looking thing): im not counting the part were you have to go past him so he will be easy when you destroy that gut gun thingy on the wall
9. Space men: very easy
10. robot boss: get those powerups or you will be dead in less than 5 secs or will be very hard to defeat so overal hard
11. 5 eyeballs: the hardest boss in the game
12. Core monster: Get rockets or the ghosts will kill you. He is easy with powerups

Z changes your shield to long to short.
remember every boss has a secert way to destroy
I know them all!

Sure its very tough but it is very fun to play

Yeah most of them do drive you nuts. mostly the objects. the game gets harder at stage 5. because there are lasers that kill you in one hit even with protective power ups the same with the crashers at the tube of death. The five eyeballs are a real challenge I would even say they are the hardest boss. when most of the boss's are really easy. Even the five green flames are hard because shooting them is no good because they will then just fly after you. once they touch you. you are dead. Trust me feel good for yourself when you have finshed the first half of stage 6. it is the hardest stage

I managed to complete it. My best record is that i completed in 20 mins (or close) with no gameover screens and one death. what do you think?

rofl Jake 20 mins is how long i managed to complete it on my best. (or close)

Its not as hard as it used to be.
I have clocked it 8 or less times now.
It is even possable for me to win every stage (exept for the first half of stage 6 mostly) without any deaths. I once clocked the game with no game over screens and 1 death.
(note: im a nerd at most games on the NES)
