A lot of things that Valve made needs work (Half Life needs work in it's storytelling, or, Valve needs to learn how to make cutscenes.) I'd say one of the very few good games they made is Team Fortress 2, which has some unwavering charm that makes me want to constantly play it.

If you knew the slightest things about Valve, you'd know they the deliberately avoid cutscenes so player feel like they are playing the story, and not watching it.

But like I said, if you ignore the fact that the games don't focus on speed like they used to, these games might be ok. If they fuck this up with glitches, bad controls, AND repetitive/boring gameplay then I fucking give up.

Don't put so much importance on speed, or you end up with a shallow and linear game like Sonic Advanced 2. The Sonic Genesis games had their share of fast parts, but they also had decent platforming. All sonic games after that have been either mindlessly linear in a attempt to add speed, or dull 3d platformers.

I only agree with Viewtiful Joe. Dante is just a generic Japanese video game character who would fit more in a serious fighting game, and Shadow is one of the worst characters ever created and needs to the thrown into a wood chipper.
