Here's another one I was able to make
For those of you that are having trouble, remember to open WORDPAD not NOTEPAD. Use a .bmp file. And save the image in paint, not photoshop.
This is a pretty simple method to do, first of all find a .bmp or .tiff image on the internet and save it to your HDD. Then open it with wordpad, and just save it. Don't save it as a new file. And then post your image on here.
One example is below.
If saving the image to post on here distorts the image size, try saving it to .gif instead.

In my personal experience I think it would be better off just getting a netbook, and I guess I can list a couple of reasons why, for you.
1. They are cheaper, netbooks prices run from $150-250.
2. You can actually use applications that aren't watered down versions of what you can find for computers.
3. The screen size is about the same as the iPad.
4. Actual Keyboard (I like a psychical keyboards over virtual keyboards).
5. If the battery dies, you won't have to shell out $99 for a replacement.
