Because graphics can be much more complicated in displaying in real-time than text.

Sure. Forgive me if I mispell a portion of the code and it turns out inefffective. I havent done AS in who knows when. Paste this on the Movieclips AS panel and use the rightarrow key to move it.

onClipEvent(enterFrame) {
if(Key.isDown(Key.RIGHT)) {
this._x += 50;
}
}

I hate people like you. He asked for help, not someone to call him a lvl 1 n00blet. Although I completely dispise people like him as much as you do, that dose meen you say it. Now go away and flame someone on another forums.

As to the thread creator. I can help you, but it depends on if you are willing to pay for one to be made completely custom, or if you just need some tips.
Also, are you planning to stream them from the local flash file or stream them from seperate files?

html: <!-- #include file(../blah.php) --> or something like that.....
actually, it's

<!--#include file="FILE YOU WANT INCLUDED.php" -->

but you have to have the file in the same directory (folder) as the one your are including it in, if you don't, use this

<!--#include virtual="/FOLDER NAME/FILE.html" -->

Make sure to add your own stuff on the italic stuff.

Thanks so much! I've been looking for how to do this for so long. I thought I would have to learn another whole scripting language or somthing. I had no idea it was so simple.

On second tohught, if you are making a chat room, I suggest forgetting flash altogether, and just start an IRC channel.

No, Im actually pretty good with actionscript, I just want to be able to make a chat room, since it seems pretty basic, and then move up to a small multiplayer game eventually.

make sure no 2 items are named the same thing in your library, and don't import new items into it with the same names as things already in your library. That might help.

Response to: custom cursor? Posted July 27th, 2006 in Game Development

I've never tried it. But you could do somthing like this I suppose

Draw the image, then export it and use an image cursor convertor that will convert the image into a cursor file. Then move it into the cursors file in your WINDOWS file. (Assuming you run windows) . And it should work pretty well then.

No, IT DOSENT WORK ON A DS!

I play flash on my psp all the time. Here is how to do it.

1. Buy a psp
2. Upgrade to firmware 2.7 or higher by connecting to your computer through a usb cord or by connecting online through wifi and downloading it.
3. Enable the Flash Player in the SETTINGS section.
4. import flash into your psp through a usb cord or through wifi.
5. Move them into a folder and name the folder FLASH
6. Locate the flash in the psp web browser and just bookmark it using this path..

If I was not very clear and you didnt understand that. Just use this tutorial - http://www.psp411.co..h_Movies_on_PSP.html
-That tutorial wont play flash games, but if you follow the way I said, it will play flash games.
