That's probably why they didn't make a big news post announcement about it. It's only for hardcore fans. I can't wait for the day that I'll finally be able to give back to newgrounds.

It's been like that with a lot of shows and I was wondering if it's an unwritten rule or something.
I actually like this new season of South Park TBH, allot better than last season and it seems to change up the formula slightly, which is good.

Well, I'm a strong believer that there's exceptions to everything. You can't assume a rule of thumb is for everything. For instance, you can't say "Every show ever will degrade in quality" and expect it to work all the time.
The fact that the newer season of south park is not that bad, proves it.

Although the previous seasons have been shit and stale which means that they "ran out of ideas" at some point. So I'm at a loss here.

Wow amaranthus, where did that come from? I always thought you were the edgy one and now you're putting people in their place? I trained you well I see.

Response to: Cartoon Nudity on YouTube Posted 1 month ago in Animation

From what I understand, youtube gets pretty much moderated by the users. If a submission gets enough Flags it'll get overlooked by the admins and then taken down.
That's why it's unpredictable and theres no clear line to cross. You might just be pissing off the wrong user at the wrong time and get taken down.

Just be subtle with it, that's all I can say.

I think it's more important that his power supply can handle it. If he has a fairly modern computer (2009 - now) his mobo should be compatible with a lot of popular graphics cards.
The REAL question is what kind of budget OP is going for. Seeing that graphic cards are very versatile. If OP just wants to play skyrim then I guess the GTX Titan should do.

Have fun playing skyrim on ultra with that card OP.

Yeah I don't think that would be a good way to go. I see a lot of forums that have stats based on how much you post. Then theres those forums that review your posts before you're even accepted.
People are already comparing post count for no reason other than to brag.

Response to: Forum Upgrades and Random Buttons! Posted November 20th, 2014 in NG News

@liljim We should go back to the old system where your aura changes automatically. Didn't they get rid of it because people would blam mindlessly? Now that the aura doesn't reflect your voting anymore, we can bring that back.

Start out with blank slate and then when users:

Post in the forums a lot: Forum Reg
Submits movies a lot: animator
Submits games a lot: programmer
etc.

No? It could motivate people to submit more based on what they want their account to reflect.

Response to: When you watch animations here... Posted November 20th, 2014 in General

Well the verdict is in. Even though the arguments for mp4 are better than swf (which are nostalgia based).
Does everybody agree with this? Keep in mind this is for MOVIES NOT GAMES.

It was kind of a shitty poll, especially since you forum people don't seem to care about the movies. But the animation forum wasn't too interested in my question.

I guess it's bye bye for SWF format from my point of view.

Just a little survey to see if what I should upload my animations in. I like the fact that I can adjust the volume from within the player but I also love creative preloader menus.

Anyone want to give their opinion?
it depends. if the movie is fully interactive, flash. If its just a film, mp4 because of the timeframe bar.

What would constitute "fully interactive"? I'm obviously not talking about a game seeing I posted this in the animation section.

Would links to tumblr/twitter/facebook a replay button, maybe a cool little game while the game loads (which would be pointless because internet speeds are so fast nowadays), count as fully interactive?

Back when that kind of thing was frowned upon. Back when I don't think admins were doing it. :P Anyway, personally I think it's a pretty easy process, but something like checkboxes for individual posts and then a button at the bottom could be useful too...

Oh yeah I bet everyone has their little ways of doing it. I myself have been doing it for so long it doesn't feel like a burden anymore.
But it's like you said, double posting is frowned upon even though there's no way to avoid it seeing there's no "easy" way to reply to multiple people.
Then theres the fact that this is a very specific community where a lot of interacting with a lot of people occurs.
It's just that now that they finally added that edit button (which I LOVE using), it makes me wonder if theres more they can do.

Anyway, it's a small thing and I wouldn't throw a fit if it didn't happen.

Cool features Tom! Can't wait for the eventual redesign of 2015! Or 2016! ....Probably 2017.

But while we're on the subject of upgrading the forums.....Is there a way to reply to multiple people in a thread? Because what I always end up doing is copy pasting quotes and replies into new replies. If you know what I mean.

I don't know how other people do it, and if I'm missing something. But it would be nice to be able to reply to multiple people without having to;

Copy typed text
Press back
Find the other person I wanted to reply to
Press reply
Find the right placement of where I want to paste
And then do it all over again for every person that posted in the thread.

It would be nice if there was some sort of overlay that pops up when you click reply. Or a quick reply box at the bottom that updates. Or maybe the reply page remembers your text and theres a button that says "reply to someone else" etc....

But thats just me. If no one else cares I guess I'd be in a minority. Maybe you guys are already working on that. Maybe I'm talking to much and should get back to work. Maybe I should come more often instead of telling you people what to do. okbye <3
