Today I decided to post a thread that would hopefully get me just a little exposure.
I read the rules, and all. I'm new to NewGrounds in some ways, Iv'e always played flash games here, especially my favorite "Alien Hominid". Member-wise, still covered in new account birthing ooze.
Getting on topic, Iv'e been working on my little journey in art for quite a few years now, while I can't say I'm "new" to digital art, there are always new tricks and tips that it makes me feel new still.
My style and subject matters are composed of a lot of dark distorted creatures and people, most of my posted work is of concepts and visualizations of my characters (and or scenes) from a book that I'm writing, and have been writing for 3 years. Since most of my work is sketches, I'm going to keep my posts here to a minimum.
A lot have considered my art to look "sketchy" which by all means it is, and my art teacher thought "too sketchy". I understand that a little bit of how I draw isn't considered good and needs to be improved upon, but just to defend my case really quick, I have a few disorders which contribute to really poor motor skills in my hands, and that makes drawing a pain in the ass sometimes. But because I love drawing so much, I press on and this is my art as of today, and I still love *shudder* the criticism, and find it quite handy in guiding what to learn next.
I hope I get just a little feedback, making new friends would be nice, but I don't bet my life on it :D
(sorry if I talk too much)
I really like them!
