You shouldn't concentrate your efforts on the date/time of your submission.
It won't really matter in the long run if your game is any good.

Determining the ideal time is a matter of +/- 0.05 imo

You should concentrate on making an awesome movie/game instead and the rest will follow.

About a year and a half ago I bought a Das Keyboard and it has been very reliable. However, after countless hours of gaming, programming and keyboard mashing it's now getting obvious it won't last forever. The caps lock LED no longer works and some keys are not registering every once in a while.

Of course my first reflex has been to order a new one but they are quite expensive. I'm wondering if anyone knows any keyboard that would get the job done for a more reasonable price.
It seems the only keyboards that don't look like the millenium falcon are the $5 ones that will break before you even open the box.

What I'm looking for is a very basic keyboard that feels bulky and has NO multimedia feature, no christmas lights, no volume control, no flat laptop-like keys and no overly ergonomical shape. The problem is they quit making them in the late 80's.

Anyone knows of a quality keyboard that would fit these criterias?

There are a number of things you should do to ensure this does not happen.

Upload the game to a secret location with a big watermark on it. Site-lock and encrypt it and don't send the link to all your friends / doubtful sponsors, etc.

Now there really isn't much you can do. Try to work this out with ArmorGames first if they would still be interested, otherwise it's probably not worth the effort.

There are lots of tutorials on everything you need to learn but you should try to find them by yourself. Don't ask on forums unless you have a very specific problem.

Actually, the smart way to do this would be to draw all your blood on a bitmapdata.

This way you can have as much blood as you want and it's still a single bitmap, which is a lot easier to render.

I just got CS4 and after playing with it for a while I discovered a very strange bug.

A textfield that I had on frame 70 would not show up whenever it was bold or had embedded characters or a drop shadow filter.
It traced fine and everything but wouldn't display.

After searching for nearly an hour I found out that removing some other textfield on frame 30 fixed that issue.
They were both identical except for boldness and text size.
Now I have made the textfield on frame 30 bold so they have only different text sizes and they both show up properly.

Am I missing something? Has anyone experienced anything like this before?

You should definitely show some examples of your drawings in flash if you actually are better because the art you've posted doesn't make it look like you can make any game at all.
