i'm so glad i didn't pay to see it. those two so-called "writers" aren't ever going to get a dime out of me. i did not laugh even once but i managed to watch the whole thing. they feel they had to tell the joke, then explain it for the audience just in case you're too retarded. and if i wanted to see pop culture jokes, i can find them on the internet, much better ones even. making fun of britney or paris is better done and more appropriate on youtube and newgrounds.

i would follow with some good points about the movie, but there aren't any except that the movie is short. a spoof of 300 was a great idea, i'm still waiting for it.

Nope, I personally think there should be a new furry club. Were not going anywhere with this club and the title.

i think this "club" could be salvaged if it were treated like a club. so far it's just been a collection of mildly interested people who occasionally have furry related conversations, or someone asking "where's the yiff at?"

if we appoint a leader, like Frank T. H. or whoever has been here the longest, then create some guidelines like "No derogitory use of the word Furfag"; then this would at least start feeling like a club.
plus giving some simple requirements to someone asking "can i join" would help make them feel like their a member of a club, not just someone talking on a discussion forum. people don't return here because it's not a club.

if we had some club-like activity here, i think this place would do fine.

FMA does not count since it's being re-run to death.

Once a series is done airing, they should move on. That's how G4 Canada does it.

i thought they do move on and then come back to it again after awhile. I don't see running a set of animes in a cycle as CN seems to do a bad thing.
for one it lets people who had never seen that anime see it. i had never seen S-cry-ed, Paranoia Agent, or Big-O before CN re-aired them. not that s-cry-ed is anything special.

and it allows someone eventually catch a missed episode. it beats the hush-hush method of catching a missed episode by some people's standards.

playing inuyasha every single day: not good. playing a season or two of an anime then take it off for about a year: ok. never airing an anime again after a single run: but, but...aww man.

That's not my complaint.

I hate their anime line-up, not their original shows.

A good deal of the original stuff is shit, too, but the anime they air is unbearable.

all clubs have slumps. even ng mafia and the anime forum have gone awhile without posts before.

making a new one would probably get shot down by the mods. i think this club just needs some structure. to make it feel more like a club and not like a forum topic. a leader, some next in commands, joining requirements, guidelines. things of that sort. i was told there are none.

It's sort've like how things like Pokemon make kids think that they can take on the world.

Only more pathetic.

hmm, wonder why i never felt that way when i was an insecure teen? probably because i wanted to smack Tenchi for being so gay. i couldn't just ignore Ryoko like he did.

pretty much anything made for kids is to make them think they can do anything. at least pokemon said they needed a well trained animal (+/- spirit, heart, and junk) to do it; something they can't do in reality.

Response to: Anime Club Posted August 20th, 2007 in Clubs & Crews

i liked Tenchi but that might be due to Ryoko being the first anime character i ever saw. i couldn't watch any other harem anime though like Love Hina. they just felt too similar.

you're trying to keep out athiests who call themselves athiests. someone who doesn't believe in God is an athiest. it's not some fancy title. and you don't want overtly religious. you just want the ones that half-ass practice it?
if you're trying to prevent religious arguments in your group, then say "no religious discussions"
that would turn away the types you apparently don't want in.

1. Excel Saga: i like zany nonsensical shows. 2. Berserk: it was good overall, just fell apart at the end IMO.
3. Fullmetal Alchemist: it's pretty decent, and Ed's not as whiny as Shinji.
4. Paranoia Agent: this show get's weird, but it's still ok.
5. Ghost in the Shell: SAC: i admit i have fallen asleep while watching an episode, but not since. plus i like the tachikomas.

i don't like kid show types. pokemon, yu-gi-oh, beyblade, even DBZ. i don't like shows that feel that their audience is too dumb to see what's going on, thus they have to verbalize the situation. DBZ did it: i know what instant transmission means, it doesn't need explaining, especially not to the guy you're fighting. FMA did it too, but who knows alchemy?

i saw Tenchi's 1st movie around a decade ago on the sci-fi channel. didn't know what it was then, but that was the end of saturday morning cartoons for me. then some time later sci-fi stopped showing them, so i had to wait until cartoon network started toonami to see anime regularly again.

Last Exile is great as its own story, though it did not really have much to remember it by (no particularly memorable scenes, etc...). Though the character designs are comparable to those of Turn-A Gundam for obvious reasons.

i agree. i haven't seen it in years and can't remember any peticular scenes. it's definitely not that i forget things easily (i still remember the first anime i ever saw, over ten years ago and i haven't seen it since) so maybe it was a bit lackluster, but i still liked it.

Nope, It doesn't count as a name (In my eyes) Sometimes I think there should be a remake of this club.

i thought that as well.

and what's wrong with anthro art?
Some people just think those things are wrong, (Such as those retards At the PETA) Or some people just think the fetish is a bit "kinky" for them.

so that means most Loony toons and Disney characters are bad as well. and PETA thinks it hurts animals when you DRAW an anthropomorphic version of them. they need something better to do.
