Had to go to a funeral for my grandfather last year... wish I could have though. Had to stay home the whole weekend and be bored at the house do the upcoming exams so I never got to go to the funeral. That was the second funeral I was ever forced to miss. The other was for this old guy at my church was a pretty cool guy.

Sorry for your losses. I also saw my dad's friend too. He was in a casket for a wake. Ours wasn't a "funeral", more like a little get together to say a little prayer. My grandfather is getting cremated.

Got some more news. They said he most likely had a heart attack because he had heart problems. They called the hospital but they just said it would be no use, since he would just be hooked up to a bunch of equptment.

On the bright side, after a certain amount of time without a visit, the nursing home can apply for custody of the person.

My father visits. I am too young and he says I might get sick by being around people there.
