If that was a reference to my post, the population in my area is apathetic at best, unfortunately the loudmouthed street urchin rules the roost, so it wouldn't surprise me if many racial minorities were provoked, only that they play the race card and get off scott free when they do attack back.

I come from the least racially intergrated areas in my country. Yesterday I saw a black person, that was the first time in about three months. The population here is heavily white, in my school of apprx 1000 students one is of pakistani extraction. I see other races only in takeaway restaurants, (chineese, turkish) there is no Jewish population anywhere near me. With such a white-heavy population there is a lot of ignorance, but the other races do not help existing tensions. All of the 'Pakis' who do live here have high paying jobs as Doctors or property owners, the majority of the more prominent figures in the local drug culture are foreign (Ali the Paki) and there are racially agrevated attacks towards whites every now and again. I was just wondering how my situation balances out compared to people who live in more cosmipolitan areas?

I tried that way of doing it orpheus, though when i preview it, it is a button, when I click it, it doesn't make a sound.

Concerning my first exploits into AS, most of the functions I can script into my buttons work. But how can I make a sound play upon pressing a button? There doesn't seem to be an action that coincides with the effect I desire.

Meh, every foreign culture is a potential threat. China is simply more apparent becasue it is so alien. While Japan was getting westernized and the was was getting industrialized, china still remained in its stone age, paddy field farming ways. Working away as it does. The west tries to westernize china, doesn't work. The cultures are too different. But Japan, who do get westernized, somehow manage to wake China. China goes nuts and produces away, content with its poor wages and take out food. No one notices China making loads of sweet Yankee Dollar through manufacture, untill KABOOM. Now everyone is fussing that China has too many people, China is evil, China manufactures too many Happy Meal toys, well boo hoo. It's everyones fault. Especially China. Hopefully they will have a huge market crash/ebola virus epidemic/war with other crappy nation as a way to thin their ranks.

How do I save my flash as a .swf? I am only given the option of saving it as a .fla, and when I change the format into .swf manually the portal won't accept it on the grounds that it isn't a .swf file. Can anyone help me?

Halloween is stupid. I really hate how commercial it is, even more than Christmas, thank God Easter isn't as bad as those two. Here's some more reasoning why I firmly hold the snes as my favourite, I've only ever owned Ninty consoles, so there's a preference there enforced upon me by my parents,and I always go for stuff that is less popular (to be different I suppose) eg. Apple Computers!

Here's my argument for the Snes. A: Microsoft and Sony aren't even real games companies. B: Sega makes good arcade styled games, nothing else. C: Snes has the greatest versions of the greatest franchises of all time on it.

Superpowers or Empires? Because no-one's mentioned Byzantine, The Mongols and the Persians. But then again, empires and superpowers tend to fall to less organised, barbarian forces (eg. Rome, China, Persia)

Has anyone read 'Making History' by Steven Fry or 'Man in The High Castle' by Phillip K. Dick? These are both awesome AH, mainly because the points of divergence are around the 30s so it effects ww2 and from that the late 20th century.

Ok this is true, Palestine was a poor desolate wasteland in a tumultuous corner of the world. The British controll of Israel was a product of Britains colonialist past.

And here's the obvious problem: nearly all Jews were migrants in these lands; why would the Palestinians settle with only 76% of the land that they had the right to inhabit? The British were giving away land that they governed but in which they didn't live; that's my problem.

When you say 'right', do you mean it in a legal, historical, or 'religious' context? Because all can aply.

You are all overlooking one thing, I see the same points made over and over, and yet no one has brought this to light, the nation of Jordan. In 1922 The United Kingdom was granted the mandate for the 'responsibility of placing the country (Palestine) under such political, administrative, and economic conditions as it will secure the establishment of the Jewish National Home" by the League of Nations.
*Palestine at this point included Israel, TransJordan (later Jordan) and the West Bank.*

Got it so far? The Land of Israel, whos name was changed to 'Syria PALESTINA' by the Romans to eradicate all memory of the Jews in 135 AD, was given to the UK so that they could then make it into a Jewish state. The British then decided to give 76% of this land to the Arabs, creating an Arab Homeland called JORDAN. Jews were forbidden from living there and were left with the remaining 24% of the land.
In 1948 the UN attempted to split the ramaining 24% between the Jews and Arabs, but the Arabs rejected it and attacked the Jews on all sides, amazingly the Jews won but Jordan and Egypt illeagally occupied large portions of the land leaving the Jews with only 7% of their original mandate area.

So we have an Arab Homeland where Jews aren't allowed to settle in, where Arabs were intended to live, but for some reason will not accept the refugee camp Arabs from entering, this is because the refugee camp Arabs are political pawns, valuable to the cause of the Palestinians, as weapons of deceit against the Holy Land of Israel.
