My dear sir we are trying to have a sensible discussion, if that is you're general belief that I hope it's not true but I find this statement flawed and with the use of "parents didn't love them or something yadda yadda bing bong boom" I believe that this post has contributed in no positive way towards the thread.

Agreed, it went from a pretty good community to well... as a channer would say "cancer". i can remember the golden age of Newgrounds, this place has gone a little down hill but it's still hanging in there like a 32 year old bachelor, this place has a few more years until it needs to start calling the awesomeness a day. Until then i will support it and be there to help it pick up the promiscuous college girl.

well that's a given, his policies and objectives near enough went against the lower half of society, he's near enough lost the election due to that alone.

IMO the best way to live green and save green is to live a feudal way of life. Problem is it sucks.
I agree with you man, part of law is that petrol has to be mixed with other more "green oils" largely it's palm oil. However to get the palm oil companies burn down hectares and hectares of rain forest to plant the new trees. Apparently it'll take around 700 years to naturally offset the damage from deforestation for palm trees alone :( DAMN YOU BP AND SHELL!
But yeah, cooperation don't help at all and they are really only looking to cash in on the situation, that's human nature for you though.

this clip man, I know where Ricky is coming from because since the age of 5 I was near enough living of the government until my father caught his big break. For me i was brought up with Christianity (i was even christened). I think in my case it was more to give me the option of religion, but from the age of 7 I finally realised that tooth fairies and magical men from the heavens are not real (just a joke before someone gets all uppity). I do believe that it is the poorer classes that are drawn towards religion for whatever reason it is and i'm not really sure why.

In that case you have around 10 years, Nanobots sonny! it's already produced and they're ready to make, it's just the cost is too high (at the moment). yeah a team of scientists invented this little robot which turn CO2 into CO3 (by splitting and forming chains). CO3 if you didn't know is O-Zone, so pretty much this little robot will actually fix the O-Zone problem at the same time. Talk about 2 birds with one stone ey? :D
It's both really, yes the earth does have cycles of temperature but CO2 emissions are increasing the heat even more which could damage said cycle. You basically want the earth to be in a natural state and no matter what humans are going to bugger that up, so it's all about just getting the CO2 emissions to an acceptable level so that we won't make such a dramatic difference. When there's a will there's a way, we have hydrogen energy near completed for cars and I believe that the South Koreans are making large steps towards unlocking cold fusion. Everything will be fine, just leave it to the guys that know what they're doing whilst you do what you can do by recycling that coke can. ;)

Oh America you don't even know what expensive fuel means. Which part are you from? I'm from Somerset, literally right next to Glastonbury which is a little hive of hippie-dippie incense sticks shit. We have the same story with dope aswell, but it's contrasted with all the incredibly posh people who live in the scattered mansions and lordly manners and estates; it's a weird mix down here.
But more on topic, even here, where there's a church in a parish every 10 feet, nobody's really going. I know that in some cities like Southampton though there are still catholic schools where kids must go to church to attend because these are simply better schools, however, my aunt puts her kids there and they all know it's tripe.
I'm from Berkshire (more precisely royal Ascot, so a large mix from council estates to the Queen's summer house). We get a load of private schools in the area so every once in a while you end up getting invited to a very posh party where the kids all get hammered of a bottle of WKD whilst you chill in the back with a bottle of Jack. i've even sold a little pot at such events just because posh kids have no real idea about the "real" world, I remember selling an 8th for £50, but that was a one off due to the opportunity. But continuing on with the churches I have to admit that there must be about 5 or 6 within a 10 mile radius. I just don't understand where the funding comes from since you never see them "active".
At 11/12/12 03:08 PM, Otto wrote: Pretty much it. All the churches mostly serve to comfort the sparse christianetc. community and run fund raisers for primary schools now. Ah I somewhat agree with you there, for example on the drugs, where I live pot is turned a blind eye, I've been at many a party where it's pretty obvious that everyone's high and the police have turned up, as long as you're not creating disorder the police seem to not really care. I don't understand why it isn't legal in the UK actually since it would generate so much money from tax and we could ease out of the large debt that we are in and even (just throwing it out there) cut the tax on petrol prices because they're pretty high, (I read somewhere that something like 65% of the price was tax) which is good because the government generates money from it but it pushes up the price of nearly every single good that is sold in shops meaning that people are slowly losing money.

I agree it seems that us Brits have slightly given up on religion, I know there are a lot of Muslims in the area I live in but they seem to keep to themselves as a repetitively small circle and not really interact with the rest of the community.

After watching a few random clips on YouTube I got to thinking about American society, more precisely the matter of religion and how it holds a large part in how America seems to run. I then got on to a short 1 minute clip where seth mcfarlin (hope i spelt his name right) says that he's an atheist and then they way he and the talk show host talk about atheism is as if it's some sort of movement. So this got me wondering: Is atheism a repetitively new thing in America? Being a Brit quite a lot of people if not most the people I know are atheist or at least agnostic. How can a country run on the values of a religion, especially a single one (Christianity). Don't get me wrong I have nothing against religion you can believe in whatever you what it has nothing to do with me, but by having this one view, does it discriminate against say Muslims or Hindus?
Would love to read some opinions on the subject since the society that i live in is just so multi-cultural.

Perhaps his specs are out of date because he initially bought something low-end?
it's a common single 2gb HP ram, it doesn't seperate tasks well and well you have a lot of stuff stored on your pc it runs really sluggish.

i would reformat and everything, however since it's a household PC the idea's been turned down. the main slowing down of the pc comes from my little brothers constant world of warcraft addons, computer apps and random things which he downloads. basically, the PC is clogged up and i want a better graphics card and memory so that photoshop and after effects runs smoother and fast.
At 20 seconds ago, Wolfos wrote: Been using a second hand MacBook Pro for a while now and it's great. Still just like new and it will remain so for years.
So yeah, I'd suggest that.
Alternatively, you could go for an ASUS laptop which I've heard nought but good about (except for one fuck who just didn't know how to handle a computer and clogged it with crapware).
I don't really like macs, they're tedious and the only benefit to them is the no-virus for me, i'm fine with paying an extra 30 quid for the security, plus mac's are that compatible with my old XP games which even my current computer decides to play from day to day. I was looking at the Asus's but i really just want to look around for the best choice.
Hey guys, i've had the same pc for the past 4 years, was pretty decent when i got it, however over the years like most HP pc's it's slowed down. So what i'm basically asking is if you know any good online retailers that sell pc parts and laptops (going to uni next year so thinking of getting a good laptop around £600 so i can take it).
Basically, theres a party coming up. It's practically my worst nightmare since it's a costume party with a theme. the costume has to start with P or F. No idea's what to go as... HELP ME brothers of newgrounds!

thank you, 3 minutes of hard work went into that :D
I was my friend's birthday so i wrote him a little story, i have now decided to enlighten you "Newgrounders", enjoy reading:
In this world there lives many a type of Gnome. But will tell you only of one today. Now this Gnome was not like other gnomes. He did not have a pointy small red hat (which if you know anything about gnomes is in fact the one piece of clothing in which they take pride), nor did this gnome enjoy fishing or spending his time in the garden. For you see, this was a Snow Gnome.
Snow Gnomes have not been forgotten in time like most other creatures of old. They have simply taken new forms and changed their ways. What we quite so often call these Snow Gnomes are the "Elves of the North Pole".
Yes, it is true. Humans, since not knowing the true name of the Snow Gnome (because they are awfully shy) have given them a name which in in fact means the opposite of what they are!
Elves live in forest and are commonly taller than most men plus Elves hate the snow, cold weather for a matter of fact.
So anyway, the purpose of this story was to tell you that the next time you think of Christmas, REMEMBER! They are not Elves, they are Snow Gnomes!
