Thanks for the update Bahamut. What's 4 days in waiting for me to reach 20,000 Experience before replying?

Now that I've done that, I can see a few places starting to loom ahead of me for the experience rankings. I hope and pray that the milestone above causes people to slow down with depositing, giving me a few places in the rankings, so that I can climb just 14 places higher to #150. Lots of people with only a pocket change gap above me, but users like kenster and Vash-the-Stampede are slow enough for me to really start reeling them in.

And XwaynecoltX if he decides to go on sabbatical again ;)

A technical gap of 350 to the top 150, so that's nice to focus on. Not that I'm going to join the top 150 in 35 days time, but it's nice to dream of, I suppose.

Overrated - one guy with excellent marketing skills and everyone thinks he's the son of God.

Meh. I bet mods aren't allowed to give anything away anyway, if there is anything to give away in the first place. Anyway, I guess you are not allowed in the mod forums on NG since all your posts are still visible to me. Either that, or you have never posted there but I'm sure you would if you got the chance. So it must be something separate from NG... hmmm.

Yeah, he had to stop making those flashes but what does that have to do with myself making stat lists and you and Wylo revealing some stuff from the mod lounges?

I think this is one of our more abstract conversations.

"What, you mean you've forgotten the point"

Not forgotten... merely misplaced.

I think that now the Phils have reached the World Series, it's time to lock up the Defending Champs against the 26 time Champs, as a season finale. Should be fun.

Basically, the flash reviews don't seem too bad, as far as I can see. It may be a case that I scanned then, thinking TL;DR, but with the audio reviews, it becomes a lot more noticeable.

Try giving tips on how to improve the piece and as you write them, you'll get the hang of telling people to put more variation is - a solo here, a pause there, bridges, inflexions and the like. It'll soon improve.

I can't complain about that - Jeter's been there and done that. He's still ahead of A-Rod for postseason Jacks, with 20, compared to A-Rod's 12. Give it time and maybe he'll get his man.

At 10/21/09 12:18 AM, MultiCanimefan wrote: What a game. Not only did the Yankees win, but the Angels caught Posada and Cano sleeping, the throw home by the Angles was high, Swisher was robbed, and A-Rod fought for home plate and won.

To be honest, the umpires are only human and they did blow some calls that could have turned the game in the Angels' favour. The "make up call" for Swisher left me feeling a little hard done by, as two wrongs don't make a right.

Don't get me wrong, the home plate umpire made a spectacular call to rule Cano safe in the fourth - the angle was brilliant and for a split second decision, it was right on the money. The calls that were for Swisher and then Cano / Posada were ballsed up big time. Cano made a silly mistake, trying to ensure that Posada got back, while sacrificing himself. Surely, he should have gone for the bag, to save himself.

Fortunately, this is a small error that will be forgotten about pretty soon afterwards, I'm sure.

CC pitched pretty well for a guy on 3 days rest. Now he can have a whole 4 days rest before pitching in a potential game 7 or 7 days of rest before pitching game 1 of the World Series, whichever suits better. Either way, so long as he gets to pitch in an NL stadium, so we can see him hit at #9, I'll be happy.

Phils to close out tonight? Howard to extend the record RBI streak for A-Rod to chase down? Worth watching, I'll bet :)

CC verses Kazmir now there is a match up. Hopefully the good Kazmir will show up instead of the one who blew up verses Boston.

Also, what's up with Teixeria? He hasn't been doing well at all this postseason.

He's biding his time, while the club rides A-Rod's Power Surge. Someone has got to keep something in the tank for the World Series, after all. If we flip the switch back and Tex gives us power instead of A-Rod, who just gets hits and then gets driven in by Matsui, Posada or Swisher, I'll still be happy.

Well, Jenson would be up for that and he would become the first briton ever to win two consecutive titles.

It's uncanny - 14 world titles across 10 different drivers has given us 3 multiple champions and none of them could win it back to back. Granted that Graham Hill's were separated by 6 years, Jim Clark's were separated by John Surtees and Clark probably had a good shot at winning the title in 1968, when he was tragically killed in an F2 race.

Sir Jackie Stewart only liked odd numbered years, winning in '71, '73 and '75, being beaten by Jochen Rindt and Emerson Fittipaldi respectively in the two intervening championships. In 1976, the roles reversed and Stewart found his 1975 title between Fittipaldi's two titles, the first for a Brazilian.

Still, enough nostalgia for now - does anyone know who will be driving where yet?! Button hasn't re-signed, but is almost a dead cert to stick with Brawn. Ross should be able to give him a competitive car and possibly a new teammate in Nico Rosberg.

Most modern Newgrounders = savewhores.

We try to teach them the value of a good 0 Button, but the people that listen are few and far between.

I've had one or two complaints, but you remember how much of an idiot Dream-of-Duke was (what can we expect from the heart of Red Sox Nation?) - we don't tend to pay them much lip service.

I can see I just barely squeaked my way onto that list...might I also add that harryjarry is just plain nuts.

Yeah, but it's onto the list, nonetheless.

Predictably, I was 6th with 1,342. 110 Was a kick in the nuts, but not even staying at home for the Blackpool trip would have done me much good, I feel.
Not at the current state of the Portal. I get 80 B/P a day on a really good day if I'm home all day with absolutely nothing to do. Daily averages tend to get more like 50-60. If this was 2007, though, 110 would have been a drop in the bucket...

110 Saves would usually take me 2-3 days of work. There were other reasons I wasn't B/Ping earier in the update, but if I'd have updated earlier, perhaps I'd have had you there ;)

You can prove anything with stats.

Indeed, the rest of you can have fun passing me in the near-future.

Or the near-past in my case :P Blams is the far future, so nothing to worry about there. I think I'll be a top 50 Experienced user first, just to put it in perspective.

For those who already have, well, no need to worry about me at all so enjoy your higher rank, especially you Coop. :P

I already am.

First off, I'm quite impressed by those lists...it still amazes me to this day that you guys will take so much time to carefully toil over these spreadsheets and grind out these stats, and I'm still grateful for it...stuff like this is really what keeps people on Newgrounds B/Ping day after day...

So much time - it's about 1-2 hours per list. I just put the effort in with making it from sorted data in the spreadsheet to a post format.

I do kinda feel bad for kicking Coop of the top 5 off of one of his own lists...knowing him, though, he'll just retaliate in kind and kick more ass than me... :-)

Not to worry, I've had other people kick me off the list before, so I'll just keep plodding along at my own pace.

900 responses? Hell, I remember when you were at 900 reviews.

It wasn't that long ago, to be honest. *checks spreadsheet* 6th April 2008, so 18 months, to write almost 600 Reviews... Besides, 888 Is the realistic milestone for this update ;)

Ya damned whippersnappers, always chewin' through the statosphere like screamin' fighter jets, making such a racket... KEEP IT DOWN, ALREADY! :::waves cane:::

Thanks for the update, Wylo. Nice work as always, but it looks weird seeing you updating with a golden aura, as opposed to the usual Blue one :P

Right, to business. I'm looking at a pass on XwaynecoltX soon - he's stopped depositing and seems to have retired. Aksumka was talking about possibly retiring at Level 44, but I'll believe that when I see it and finally alhill will eventually fall to me - that extra 5% will do me the world of good, I tells ya!

If all of that happens, the top 40 is within sight, but it's a long road and I'll just keep plodding on.

Oh, I did. It's just a pity there's nothing left to do for me in that game - I beat every castle, then I beat every castle with a gold medal, then I beat every castle with one shot (not that there were many left where I had used more than one!).

Excellent - I reviewed just after you did and put out a theory for Crush the Castle 2, so I hope they pay attention :)

They really should've put all the 1400 levels they boast they received in the game. :)

That would be more than a little sick, but fun.

There is no Coop any more. Coop was assimilated into the hive mind of Wade weeks ago and you never noticed a thing. He is one of us now. Mwahahahahahaha!

I was about ready to call it a night after the 12th inning.

I didn't watch a single pitch of that live - the game was due to start 1am and I can't be having with that. I've booked the World Series off work, so they'd better win 2 more to guarantee the spot there now!

Very nice update, thanks Bahamut. I'm climbing closer and closer to the top 25, but still a 1,500 Point gap away from there. It'll come at some point.

Now to keep on moving forward and wait for me to get higher in the Audio rankings than I am in the Flash Rankings :(

A-Rod's having his best postseason ever - 3HR and 8RBI so far, matching his previous best (in 11 games). Considering he's matched it in 5 games, he's on a tear that I hope he can continue in Anaheim for at least two games.

But the Angels' fielding has been pretty poor, when the defence has sprung leaks and has basically gifted the Yanks the win yesterday in the 13th. Pressure tells, to be honest and I remember when it was the other way around and the Yanks were crumbling. We shall see.

It looks like Boston could be going into a rebuild year themselves. If they managed to get more than 1 first round pick, they may well consider trading down a little more over the season.

At least it's an Olympic year, maybe I'll start watching hockey again in February.

I know how you felt - I was the same last season, though not this early on, to be honest.

Thanks for the update, Metal-Therapy.

I've got to stay at over 1 review per day for the year, eat into that deficit!
