Lets face it, if we didn't have a quality tender like Budaj in net, we'd be in a fucking big hole.

The coach doesn't want us to be too physical, because our PK sucks.

I just fucking hope that the Avs make the playoffs.

Maybe if we missed them, we'd get the wake up call we need?

At 3/10/07 12:46 AM, DarkSoldier wrote: Do you like Theodore?

To be honest, I did appreciate both Aebischer and Theodore. Abby was beginning to turn a corner and then we made a boneheaded trade to send him to Montreal for a cripple. I thought last season was over when we did that, but Budaj stood his ground. Problem being that when we got to the playoffs, we stuck Theodore in net, which worked for a time.

Now Theodore is a very expensive backup tender. We're paying him 3 times more than Budaj to sit and watch Budaj steal his limelight!

Chris Simon deserved his ban, regardless of weather or not it was spur of the moment or impulsive.

I'm actually of the mindset that it was a little too harsh a suspension. the hit was in the heat of moment, while he was still blind with fury over the from behind, late, hit. Whereas Marty McSorely and Bertuzzi had both premeditated their actions.

McSorley nearly impaled the guy (whose name escapes me) with his stick, while Bertuzzi tried to push Steve Moore's face through the ice by punching him repeatedly on the back of the head. The NHL gave them a fair suspension and they were investigated by the police (although neither of which resulted in prosecutions) Chris Simon isn't worthy of police investigation for an impulsive action like that, but the suspension is fair.

The fact that I've now got enough responses to get myself onto the top 100 list for the next update takes the gut-wrenching sting out of that one.

I've run out of pages on mine :( Curse these 1 year calendars!
Yeah havent they learned to make 24, 36 or 48 month calendars, oh wait they probably do.

Somewhere, but the problem is they tend to run out of pornographic images for the last few months - the girl for January 2005 is the same as June 2007, which is shoddy.

I've got a trick or two up my sleeve *shows off Sheep bomb and Banana bomb*

I've tried doing something about it - I've never voted for Tony Blair or his labour government. Local Labour Councillors is different, but for Parliament, I've never voted for Labour and since I've been eligible to vote, we've never had a Labour MP.
Have you tried getting any other people to help out? Because this isn't going to be a one man job.

Well, the people of the Wyre Forest constituency all banded together and voted out the Labour MP. We're now represented by an independant, rather than by one of the three main parties (Labour, Conservatives, Liberal Democrats) That is all I can do to help the effort of removing Tony Blair from office. Come May, he'll be out anyway and we'll be deciding if we want his successor in power.

Well, we shall see how it pans out over the next few weeks, as the Cricket World Cup is officially under way.

Bit of a sporting hop around here, as the Italians beat the Welsh 23-20 on Saturday (and I won £10 of our Architect!) and then England beat France at Twickenham. We've still got to hope for some results to go our way so we can take the title - England V Wales; Italy V Ireland and France V Scotland to finish the Championship off now.

The F1 Season begins in earnest on Saturday, with the Auissie GP!

I can do it cheaper than that - take 1 bottle of beer and a straw. Make a series of pin-holes in the strawup to the top. Suck the beer through the straw really quickly (on an empty stomach) as more bubbles in the beer mean the alcohol is absorbed quickly into the bloodstream. Side effects are wind, but you'll be pissed, so who cares?

You need to go to the Flash Portal and vote on the movies which are under judgement. Watch the movie and select the icons for 0-5 (See AfroUnderscore Stud's picture above for more info) If the movie is worthy of protecting, it should get a 2-5, worthy of deletion, it should get a 0 or 1. Once the movie has either passed judgement (been saved) or been deleted (blammed) a point will be issued to every correctly voting account.

Thanks. I wouldn't have noticed it myself if it wasn't for gfox to make me aware of it about a month ago.

Ah damn I hate when photographs dont turn out like you would suspect them to.

I need a better camera... *rigs up camera to telescope with Duck Tape* Ok I'm all set, now to wait 3 years for the next lunar eclipse

I'll probably only have this for a short while, but I guess it's nice while it lasts.
Nice - I hope I'll get there myself before the redesign. :)

A werewolf's pretty deadly with a chain, you'll be even more deadly with nunchacku. Don't even think about using them on me!

You're doing this to anger me, aren't you?! I'm so close to it and people like you ranking up are just postponing the inevitable.

Still, only about another 750 or so points and I'll be joining the list via my own rank up. Although I'd love to join the hard way

We all thought he was going to be the Avs' star Rookie this year. Sorry Wojtek, but Paul Stastny has a marginally easier name to spell

Also, Paul Stastny's about to break teemy selanne's rookie point streak record.

Well, he doesn't seem to be bothered about it, at least on the outside. What a pro.

Still, I hope he does it, because that means we're scoring goals. Goals mean we have a chance to win games... kinda sad to think we're near the league lead in goals for, isn't it?

All depends on what the GM thought about it - either you weren't going to make the playoffs (unlikely) or he got an offer he couldn't refuse

Maybe a gay man's Tom Cruise, but not a poor man's Tom Cruise - Barrowman doesn't pour all of his money into a so-called religion

Both of you two can stop spamming this place. We've had our own heated debates on the Famous Rivalry, but you two are just throwing spam at it.

Lets be sensible and back up our posts with opinions, stats or even decent conversation

You have a point..so what was that other blue tinge looking dude?

I thought of them more as the four horsemen of the Apocalypse. Death was easy enough to spot, being the son of the devil. The big guy who drove the truck (Earth) into Blaze was War, with air being famine and water being pestilence (Thinking along the lines of cholera and other water borne diseases, since you can't starve in water - too many fish)

How does that sound to you guys?

Yeah. Which is why I responded to that part of the post with sarcasm.

Wha?

You don't remember me telling iscrulz never to pet a burning dog?
I do now. Then again, my memory isn't the best.

I had heard... maybe I can train you with that

Already saw Ghost Rider. But the US doesn't get Hot Fuzz for another month.

Lucky people in the UK. They have to keep all the good things to themselves. >:(

Well, it's not my fault, I'd suggest that worldwise synchronised releases are for the best, myself. With the internet, everybody's talking about the same film and they all have a chance to see it, like this prime example in Ghost Rider

Sounds like an episode of Futurama, which also shows the treacherous things Penguins have to go through

Old = Experienced. Therefore he's slightly better. Yes, his gun does shit on the chain, but that's only when it's used in the dark.

And am i the only one to notice that the other bad-ass dudes represent the four elements? Wind Water Fire Earth

They hid within the elements. There was no fire, that was technically the Ghost Rider.

I want the Horse, it's far more badass, since it's alive!

When he goes all *woosh* and turns into that Ghost Rider dude, and his bike changes to...

I think he should have kept Nicholas Cage's voice, since he was sentient at the end of it all.
