Oh well, we start from 0 this week and I'll strive to get closer once more. Perhaps Seamonky will be a victim of mine this week, as I strive to catch the Anti-Semitic infant.

Acquisition of the off-season so far - New York Rangers picking up Marion Gaborik. His career appears to have stalled and they got him relatively cheaply as well.

You didn't really try, you pulled off the present tense quite well, which is something I personally always struggle to do.

I'm glad you think so, it's difficult and I wish that I'd tried to do something a little less complicated for the first try at the writing contest.

I really like how your story shows the ups and downs of day-to-day life, before the story suddenly takes a turn and deviates to the main theme, and you can really feel the dread at his discovery.

I'm glad you did - I'll try to get to the stories over the next few days, so I can see just how boned I am :P

Although Chris seems to be a rather common name for the protagonist of these stories.

Meh, I just picked a name at random. Perhaps I'll try something less common for a main protagonist name, like Marmaduke, or something similar.

Well, be ready for an excited press of angry and emotional rockers. Watch your head for crowd surfers, as steel toe caps can leave a nasty mark or two on your head.

It's been a while since I went to a gig - 6 years, when I caught Alice Cooper in Birmingham. Still, I'm going to right that, by seeing him in Wolverhampton in December :)

Unless you call Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds a gig, then I've only been to one ;) I think it counts though, as it's still and amazing spectacle, even if someone did try to throw a toilet roll at the end - bloody Birmingham City fans, anyone would think they were in the Premier League!

Getting away from the gig could be a problem - car parks do tend to clog up for a good half hour afterwards. Also, be sure to use the facilities before going in, you won't get a good place back if you chicken out mid-gig. If you're with friends at that time, you will lose them.
