I wouldn't be opposed. He's been so much of a (*warning* big words incoming) nonchalant, lackadaisical commissioner that has acted in much a laissez-faire kind of attitude. No worries, no more big words from me tonight.
Nice selection of words. Basically for those of you who don't fancy a trip to dictionary.com, phillee is saying that Bud Selig is the laziest commissioner we've ever had and he wouldn't object if he just fucked off.
Speaking of Bud Selig, what do you guys think of my idea that is based on Lord of the Rings and baseball? Bud Selig would be Gollum, and Derrick Turnbow would be Frodo (ignore his height). Selig always wanted a ring when he owned the Brewers, and Turnbow currently plays for him, which would kinda be the link between them, like how Gollum used to be a hobbit and Frodo is one. The "precious" would of course be a WS ring. I got a chuckle out fit when I first thought of it, I thought I'd share it.
Neat little metaphor there.
What does surprise me is the way the Phillies have been winning, specifically their last two games. They had a 6 run 8th inning 2 games ago to beat Turnbow and the Brewers, and Carlos Ruiz ha a walkoff HR to win it tonight to give Derrick his second straight loss. Both times they came up clutch late game to win it. Grant it I still don't like their pitching all that much and these games are vs. Milwaulkee, a team that I think is not as good as their record says they are.
I still think that if you can beat the Brewers at the moment you're doing something right, as lots of teams haven't managed to beat them this year.
To be honest, I think the weather is beating the Yankees so far this year. Could hurt us in the long run, but could speed up the return of Hughes and Clemens, by us not having played so many games by the time they return.

Personally, I don't think the game is that good. I think it should be removed from Newgrounds because it is in poor taste and now the author has crossed yet another line by trying to morally blackmail people and gain profit from the awful events of that day.
If the stupid fuck wants to keep it up on his own website, we can't stop him, but we can certainly deny him more exposure, as is generated by leaving this game on NG.
So I had some free time at lunch and came up with this:
Throw away your television
Intro – rip off of Itchy & Scratchy from the Simpsons, Scratchy ascending to heaven, head through the base of Elvis’ TV, followed by Elvis shooting him. Trim for time to fit the beat.
Elvis gets up and boots the TV through the open window into a dumpster
Throw away your television
Time to make this clear decision
The dumpster pushes away from the wall a little and the camera pans around to the right, to reveal Anthony Kiedis, sitting in the passenger seat of a car with Flea driving, looking psychotic. AK looks scared while singing:
Master waits for it’s collision now
It’s a repeat
Car crashes into dumpster on guitar notes
of a story told
It’s a repeat
Car crashes again
and it’s getting old
AK and Flea get out and flee the scene.
Cut scene to a TV Studio, where John Frusciante is recording a commercial for something truly beneath him – peanut butter. He’s dressed up like a giant peanut butter jar and he’s dancing about like a prat, as per the advert script. Camera pan from the director’s TV screen to the real thing. JF’s eyes have $$ signs behind them.
Throw away your television
Make a big break intermission
Director yells CUT! [Big bold text, flash the background a different colour] JF’s eyes glow red. He slams down the peanut butter on the floor, which smashes.
Re-create your supervision now
It’s a repeat
JF storms off towards the door, removing parts of his costume [Mickey Mouse gloves?]
of a story told
It’s a repeat
Outside studio door, JF now in jeans & T-Shirt joins up with Flea and AK, similarly dressed. They walk off.
and it’s getting old
They walk past a garage, where the car they crashed is being pimped
Renegades with fancy gauges,
fancy gauges (speedometer, rev counter etc) being put on car, looking out of windscreen as the three walk by.
Slay the plague for it’s contagions
Walk towards the hospital and medical college, up to a security booth, where the guard is watching his TV.
Pull the plug and take the stages
AK trips over the cable for the TV, which for some reason runs across the road. Flea grabs the TV and slam dunks it into the bin next to the booth
Throw away your television now
Inside the hospital, Chad Smith is training to be a doctor, with some suitably hot nurses. The guys walk in
Throw away your television
Take the noose off your ambition
Flea winks at a nurse, while AK and JF talk to CS. The nurse blows Flea a kiss.
Reinvent your intuition now
AK, JF and CS walk off, only to return and drag off the drooling, love struck Flea.
It’s a repeat of a story told
It’s a repeat and it’s getting old
During the second chorus, they cross the street and enter the hotel, going to their room, where the band’s instruments are set up. They start to play. JF opens the window and AK dances about a bit while singing.
Throw away your television
Salivate to repetition
As AK and flea dance around, the dresser which has the TV on by the window vibrates and the TV creeps closer and closer to the window ledge.
Levitate this ill condition now
The TV edges further over the edge, shouldn’t be physically possible to balance like that (levitate joke)
It’s a repeat
CS pushes the TV off the edge, where it falls to the sidewalk below and smashes.
END
So, what do you think?

Yeah, Bonds was a future hall-of-famer before he started taking steroids seriously. He probably took them before, but not in quantities enough to make much of a difference to his physique or his stats. Because he took steroids, he makes a mockery of everything this sport stands for.

I think MLB is content to crack down on all the minor leagues but "grandfather" in all the current cheaters in the bigs.
That way they can avoid a huge catastrophic PR nightmare by outing their current/recent gen stars while also providing a path to a much more drug-free future.
They think it's a win-win scenario. Will it be? Time shall tell.
Well, mlb only wins when they get someone who isn't a steroids cheat on top of the Home Run list. So unless Bud Selig gets a sniper out there to nail Bonds before he passes Aaron, we may have a very long wait. I'm not ruling out the possibility that people like A-Rod and Albert Pujols have taken Steroids in their careers.

Good, I've not had a new entry to the list so far, but I am tracking the top 200 responses gained (or thereabouts)
Well, £130 for the tyres and exhaust; £200 for the electrical sensor (parts & labour) to pass the MOT, £30 for the MOT, so £400 give or take a few squid.Ah, like 2 weeks worth of living for me. Well student living anyway.
If I really cut down on my spending, it's 2 weeks of living for me. More like 1 week, if we take into account all of my rent and direct debits.

Well, aside from only playing in the Quebec Montreal Junior Hockey League, he became the star player in the Penguins team after Mario Lemieux retired.

Didn't reach the playoffs though - that's where the big teams play (most of the time :P)
Nah, it takes far too long to set up :PI'm sure they can wait. Look at their poor faces, twitching from the excitement of a Tetris match. :(
Well, they aren't getting a game against me. I'm downloading Doom at the moment, but this bronze gauntlet only has a dial up connection, so it'll be ready in about 6 months...
Sure, you go ahead. If you steal anything from my fridge, I'll set the dogs on you!Mind if I go along as well? I will try not to steal anything. I don't like the thought of having dogs chasing me, especially if they're after penguin meat. :3
Well, I could set a separate pack after you

Indeed. And a cheap way to make yourself more visible for election, in fact. Just as bad as +1ing all over the place in this thread specifically, IMO.
Well, the people who do it in this thread tend to get rebuked by our regular members who do it properly.
And I recall we once had a user who made 90% of his posts in that fashion. Constantly answering question topics' questions with answers that were redundant (at best) or incorrect/worse than the previous answers (At worst).
We're always going to get people like that. I wish they would just stop.

Damn, that means we're in the same boat.
Indeed it is - 26 isn't a really special number for me, shame.

Yep, since we're not judged on quality, then it's certainly quantity I'm after.
Lets see if I can carry this one over. If I get a good couple of weeks, I'll have my foruth star really soon :)Hoooorayeth!

Well I'm sure you can empathise with my feeling that it's better to be sitting on the inside looking out than vice versa.Yeah, but sometimes you gotta choose... which inside. Which outside.
Hmm, good point
We can't all be on the inside of every top 50, for instance. There's just not enough time to spread around. Or attention.
It's a worthy goal. Top 50 Blammers is leagues away at present.

You'll need to sign up for a grounds gold account for that. You need to deposit experience daily adn vote on flash to raise your Blam and Protect points. The FAQ should help you out there.

Well, when you come to save the picture, hit save as. Give it a filename and use the dropdown bar below to select the filetype as "JPEG Interchange Format" (.jpg) if this doesn't work, try typing ".jpg" after the file name.
I think you might be having problems with the size of the image Maximum 50k, 400 pixels wide and 300 pixels tall. If you've got all of this right, you should be on the right line to posting the picture

Tieing in nicely with the duck theme, their Ducktales the Movie was quite good, although I was about 10 when it was releasedI haven't seen that movie in nearly a decade. And I've only seen that movie once. It makes me sad.
Why? It's a good movie. Are you sad that you've only seen the movie once? It's available from HMV for £5, which in your money would be about $2.50.

128) 25347 0309 044.1 Coop83
Another good week for me. If I can keep this pace up, I might be able to pass these few people below:
123) 25681 0012 001.7 RupeeClock
124) 25637 0008 001.1 RageVI
125) 25622 0005 000.7 stafffighter
127) 25447 0162 023.1 HaroFreak -1
With the exception of HaroFreak, who I should pass this week with ease.
129) 25211 0291 041.6 Heinrich
130) 25060 0542 077.4 pwroftheseagoat 1
Heinrich is still losing ground to me, but only 18 points this week. I've got a spot of breathing room. pwroftheseagoat, I expect to pass me in 2 weeks time, so I'd like to be a top 125 B/Per by then.

Well, do what I do - I set myself up a spreadsheet and update it every day, to see if I'm on pace. Sort of a poor man's NG Log - it's easier to fob the folks at work off with "this is a spreadsheet correlating how productive our sales will be over the next five years", than them looking over my shoulder at the traditional Black and yellow screen.
The benefit of this is that you can spot at a glance how you're doing compared to each of the last few days. If I'm not performing as well as I'd like, I can think about how much time I've been spending B/Ping of if it was due to a slow portal day.

Wrong. He said as the Daleks had suffered such a devastating defeat they would not return. I don't know if he was including the Void though!
I think what he interpreted as the Daleks not coming back wasn't seen the same way by the writers.
Popular demand, that sort of thing.
One more point on your quoting, maybe consider putting a space between each quote and your reply, reading one block of solid text hurts the eyes when you try to read it.
Still, well done on the rest of it though :)
