Thanks for that, Bahamut - It's now about 4 years in a row I've been perfect with depositing, which is really something.

48 Ranks gained in the year, which is almost 1 per week. I know that I've lost 1 rank nett over the course of the day, but I'm sure I'll be able to get that back soon.

Can I get to the top 100 by the nest update? 3,650 additional experience would bring me past everyone including Vert, assuming that no-one among them deposited, but few will be perfect like me (2 users were last year between me and Vert) I think that my gains will be between 15 and 20. That would put me tantalisingly close to the top 100, thus causing the fight to begin again, as I go on about my inevitable march to the top 50 :P

See y'all next year *waves*

This girl is playing those guys as chumps. They want to get their freak on and she wants some meat in her sandwich. I think that when she's older, she'll be a swinger or something like that.

When it comes down to it, I wouldn't go out with a girl that insisted she could have a girlfriend at the same time as having me as her boyfriend. Sure, if all three of them got together and enjoyed it as a 3 way relationship, that's also good, but it produces all sorts of problems down the road, if it gets anywhere near serious.

I know of one couple that got married (I turned up at their wedding reception), then they enticed another girl into the relationship. As my sources go, the guy got further with this girl during the first week of his marriage than he did with his bride. Suffice to say, we don't talk much any more :P

TL;DR - I'm an all or nothing guy, but threesomes are still good, so long as it's me and two women, I get the right of veto (as does my girlfriend) and all parties are actually taking part in the fun.

Alright, I've been looking through a few bits and pieces that have been floating around and I might have to make a serious stab at getting the Blammer series up and running, since it's been pretty constant for a few years. I don't think I'll be able to get it made up before I pass Phantom (unless he comes back and goes schiz on the portal in the next few weeks, that is), but I'll give it a shot.

Any word on evidence about AddictingGames23?

Hahahahaha, indeed, there are way too many German races this year. And talk about those bottom Brazilian races. Lucas Di Grassi and Bruno Senna are fighting to see which one finishes last. At least the Germans and Brits are at the top. :P

Angry Italians FTW! Stefano Domenicali talking to the BBC about Lewis' penalty and Alonso losing out to it. :P

Also, your views on Nabokov (almost) leaving San Jose...?
He's a good regular season keeper, but playoffs = suckage.
Right... I would give him another chance, though. Hey, at least they didn't blow it on the first round. :P

Harsh. He'll be backstopping the Phils next year, so the reports on NHL.com say.

It's like the 1980s all over again.
Hmm, what do you mean...?
Smiles in Oilers jerseys. Gretzky; Messier & all.
Ah, right. But he won't be another Gretzkyish player...

Nowhere near. But he's a good player in an Oilers Jersey - something they haven't seen since Ryan Smyth was traded to NYI.

And Coop, where do you watch Hockey or any other sports? Do they air it on the local TV stations or you have to use internet steams?
Hockey via ESPN America very occasionally - it's usually live when I'm in bed.
Ah, right... It's because our two ESPNs never air Hockey - only the IIHF and the Olympics. So I have to keep up with the NHL season via Internet streams. Illegal, but it's the only way out...

NHL.com allows people to watch highlights the day after. That's how I've followed it.

Baseball, I have a subscription to mlb.tv, allowing me to watch live streams of the Yankees and Steven Strasburg starts :P
Oddly, they air Baseball almost every night in here. :)

And is it... expensive?

$100 for the season. Not really, considering how often I watch it.

Heh, everybody wasn't very sure about who would win in the match. But I have to say that Mexico played awful this time. I guess the fact that Arg scored the 1st goal made feel the green team very worried, I don't know :/

They were robbed - Carlos Tevez was offside and while the refs were pretty hot with offside decisions, there are certainly areas where TV could be used to establish that after the ball has gone out of play. Stop the clock, check, tell the ref and move on.

About halfway between the two of us, but less reason to hate Germany :P Have you guys got nose bleeds yet from doing so well at the finals?
Nose bleeds? :p
From getting so high (far) in the finals. We all know that the Netherlands suck in International competitions, save for their two appearances in the final in the 70s. Failed to qualify seven times, didn't make it past the group stages twice and fell at the second round twice. That's in 16 attempts. You have quite a weight of expectation on the team and you would expect them to do better, with the calibre of players that have worn orange.
You're right there. Holland always has a great team on paper, but seldom does well. To be honest, I think the same goes for England. Beside their win 1966 they have never gotten anywhere further than the fourth place in 1990 and their EC record isn't that impressive either (mostly not qualifying or being eliminated in the group stage).

I can see where you're coming from, but when we've won it, we still want to win it again. Perhaps we'll send a team of pub players next time and actually progress.

No the real cupfighters are Italy, Argentina, Germany and Brazil.

Well, that only really leaves Argentina and Germany - Brazil aren't as strong as they used to be, though they have got the Dutch next...

Today's games, I'll be going for Paraguay and Portugal.

Also, I want a chance for us to avenge ourselves for 1986 against Maradona. But, then again, I'd also like to see the Mexicans roll the Argies over - they've been the most positive team so far this year.
No chances to avenge yourself anymore.

They haven't won yet - I don't want to see Maradona win as coach.

It was one of the most enjoyable games of the tourney so far in my opinion. Too bad about that referee fucking up. The game might have been much more interesting if it became 2-2, but Germany deserved the win nonetheless. At least in my opinion.

Still, can't complain - I'll go back to celebrating the cricket.

Strasburg is the type of player that's causing me to think about games, especially when his battery-mate is one of my favourite catchers in Pudge :) He's one of the players out there that I genuinely have respect for outside of the Yanks and will him to do well, except in situations against NYY, which there won't be too many of, hopefully.

Anyway...Moyer gave up a record 506th HR tonight, breaking the all-time record for HRs allowed by a pitcher in his career...a record formerly held by former Phils great Robin Roberts, right up to his death earlier this year.

Talking of players outside of NYY that I love watching, it's Jamie Moyer. This guy knows how to pitch and you've always got to be wary of a wily veteran. A shame that he probably won't get to 300 wins, but he's on a tear now.

Of course, the press needed to point out the obligatory "HOLY SHIT MOYER IS OLD TO BE PLAYING PROFESSIONAL SPORTS LOL" comment...this time,

Also ROFL Zambrano.

I saw the video of Longoria and BJ getting together over the "jog to left centre" incident. BJ was out of order and Longoria conducted himself as a leader of a team should - light a fire under the team and thought they still went on to lose, it might help later in the year.

I did almost think that it was Zambrano all over again, when I saw the headline "Upton, Longoria get into heated exchange."

Alright then - bila, you will be caught this week by me. 216 points, so let's put the bar at 5 days, but if I can turn some decent pace, then Thursday is my target day for entering the top 20 B/Pers.

Next up - Phantom. That's currently about 2.5 weeks, so I should now finally be able to make short work of a few tasty ranks

I don't think I'll write that much, to be honest.

Germany and England is going to be an ugly match. I can see cards flying. I'm really hoping Spain will win, since I don't particularly care for Portugal. For the last game, I'm rooting for Mexico but Argentina and Maradona are going to win in the end.

Well, I just want a decent game of football - Olympiastadion, München, 2001 would be an adequate scoreline, if I'm honest :P

I want Fabio to serve Franz Beckenbauer a large slice of humble pie.

I generally listen to rock / metal in my local pub. Occasionally, people put some crappy pop on other juke boxes, but that involves me and friends drinking up and leaving.
Better not go to any bars in Holland then, unless they have a big sign specifically saying "Rock Café" hanging on the outside.

I don't have the money to consider travelling at present - I'll bear it in mind for future reference, though.

I'll be on Haggards side in this battle ;)
About halfway between the two of us, but less reason to hate Germany :P Have you guys got nose bleeds yet from doing so well at the finals?
Nose bleeds? :p

From getting so high (far) in the finals. We all know that the Netherlands suck in International competitions, save for their two appearances in the final in the 70s. Failed to qualify seven times, didn't make it past the group stages twice and fell at the second round twice. That's in 16 attempts. You have quite a weight of expectation on the team and you would expect them to do better, with the calibre of players that have worn orange.

I don't know, I guess I just like to see the English go down. Maybe because your media and the English supporters always make such a big drama out of it ;)

I'd like to see us win - that's part of the fun of being patriotic through sport.

Also, I want a chance for us to avenge ourselves for 1986 against Maradona. But, then again, I'd also like to see the Mexicans roll the Argies over - they've been the most positive team so far this year.

Ah, that, the most interesting trade so far. Byfuglien(?) on the Thrashers... I think they're expecting him to "replace" Kovalchuck, since they traded him to NJ earlier this season.
They did well with that though - getting NJ's top prospect out of it and The Devils probably won't end up with Ilya re-signing :P
Yeah, Kovalchuck might end up in the free agency. Considering he wants a few millions on his contract... I call it a bust on NJ's part.

I think they went for broke, thinking that offence and Marty's defence could win them a cup. Marty faded badly and Ilya was a shadow, not yet used to the spotlight on the big stage. That's why Byfuglien (had to copy that from NHL.com :P) will adapt well to Atlanta, if he can step up to be a star with Bergfors. Now all they need is a good centre and you've got a nice first line there.

Also, draft night. Hall or Seguin...
I was right - I called Hall in the Hockey thread weeks ago and Hall ends up an Oiler, with Tyler Seguin a Bruin
Yeah, poor Toronto. :P

LOL - their loss, but if Kessel is managed well, they've won on the trade.

Also, Hall looks so... ugly! I mean, look at his smile with the Oilers shirt! :P

It's like the 1980s all over again.

Yeah, and Sedin is the MVP, although the players voted for Ovechkin. And Duchene came in second, but really close...
Maybe he'll win bigger awards in the future? Art Ross? Maurice Richard? Hart? Stanley?
Indeed. Look at that Steven Stamkos, second season, 50 goals.

Well, I was thinking David Jones or Chris Stewart for that. Both had shooting percentages in the 20s

And btw, are the Coyotes really moving to Winnipeg this season?
Not that I've heard of
Hmm... I've read a few rumours after they were eliminated in the playoffs, but nothing confirmed, it seems. We'll know if it happens.
I think that one guy was trying to buy them and move them elsewhere (Winnipeg), but the NHL blocked that move and they were committed to selling to an owner who wanted to keep them in Glendale.
Hmm... I think there was a similar thing with Nashville - they wanted to move them somewhere else, due to lack of audience. I think all their playoff games were sold out, though. The NHL wouldn't have allowed that, I think.

Nashville have turned a corner and so have Phoenix now - the crowds have rewarded the team for playing well. You're not going to sell out if you play crap.

Go and download the new track - it's free and sounds brilliant!
El Dorado? Heh, I've downloaded it quite some time ago... :)

No, they are still male, regardless of what anyone can say to me. I know some transsexuals and I've never seen an attractive one, to my knowledge.

now you could pull the argument that she should have told you the truth, but you also have to understand the stigma against intersex people in society.

Yeah, but isn't it making the situation worse by lying and withholding truth like this? I think that at some point in the relationship, there has to be the question "Oh, before I suck your dick, I just thought that you might like to know that I've still got one. I'm going to have the operation when I can afford it."

Some people would call me shallow, but I'd call myself a realist - real boobs feel a lot better than fake ones, so ergo a real woman feels better than a wolf in sheep's clothing. Dress up all you like, I do not question your rights on anything here, but from my point of view, you're still a man.

If you really cared about her before finding out, then you should at least be willing to empathize with why she didn't tell you.

I could talk it through, but if he / she / it sucked my dick, without telling me this little detail, I think I'd be asking questions and possibly considering legal action if I lived in LA :P

The thing I'd key into the what if machine is "What if she's a post-op transsexual and you're trying to have kids, though "she" knows why you can't, but still keeps it a secret. What happens then?
