Basing your opinions on the cinema and movies of an entire decade off of only movies which you have personally seen/heard about is being a little bit ignorant (which is okay!). I'm sure that there are many independent films and movies out there which you may find interesting, educational, or flat out fun. You just need to actively search for them! What kind of movies are you interested in? Documentaries, action films, comedies, etc. Spend a little bit of time looking online for some films which pertain to a subject which you enjoy, and you might be surprised with what you find.

That all being said, I think most television shows do pretty much suck now. This whole reality TV fad is starting to really get on my nerves, it was okay at first, but now pretty much all shows I see on TV are at least somehow related to this whole "Reality/Reality Gameshow" genre in some way.

I picked up Gears of War 2 today but have not yet gotten a chance to play it (due to unforseen circumstances, I probably will not be able to play it until at least this end of this month).

Can anybody give me a detailed, honest, and clean cut review of the online multiplayer gameplay for this game? How fun is it to play, is it as good as Call of Duty 4? Is it better than Gears1?

Thanks in advance for any who takes the initiative to write a review.

Metaknight is stupidly overpowered, Falco is more spammy than he was in Melee, D3 has stupid range and chaingrabs, and Snake can camp like a bitch. Personally, I feel little to no development in any of the characters in SSBB; personally I have gone back to playing SSBM myself. These four chars do dominate and will continue to dominate the competitive scene for Brawl, and there seems to be little to no hope for change. Brawl does not have a competitive future.

I feel like I can say this with at least some credibility. I have been an avid competitive smasher now for about 2 years, and am a cohost of a pretty popular melee tournament series (our last tournament with on Nov. 1 and had about a 25 person turn out). The amount of energy, fun, and depth within the Melee scene is the best from any competitive fighting game I have personally seen.

Sorry for the derail, I just really have been wanting to get this off my shoulders now for a while. I just do not think Brawl can ever live up to Melees greatness, both in the amount of fun they are to play, and in the competitive scene.

See you all around!

Has anybody noticed how just about all the bands in the extreme metal (and punk) community are connected in some way?

I just noticed that Lee Dorian, who did the B-side Vocals on Napalm Death's "Scum" album, is also the founder of Rise Above Records, who label another one of my favorite bands Eletric Wizard.

These two bands are completely unrelated in terms of musicality, but yet so long as they are within the extreme metal umbrella of a genre, they are connected.

I have noticed this phenomenon occuring with multiple other bands and respective members of those bands. Many different styles of extreme metal are all bound by one common creed and culture.

It makes me proud to say that I am an aspiring extreme metal musician, to say that I can be a part of this close-knit underground community of people who share the same ideals and interests as I do.

Hey this is a really generalized post but can anyone recommend me some artistic metal like Moonsorrow, Deadsea, Dissection, Opeth, ect. I don't really care what genre (it doesn't even have to be metal if you have a good suggestion)

!!! I didn't know GOW was on the PC! TY for that. To be honest I don't like Halo too much, but I do like CS from what I've played of it. I used to be Counterstrike a ton when it was first around but then I kinda lost interest in it. I'll probably download CS: Source and GOW because of your post. ty

I feel sort of a duty to just make you aware of the fact that not all metal bands are on MTV or the radio... (You can't judge a whole genre by just a couple of artists).

Good, New, Clean, Fun Metal: Behold the Arctopus, Electro Quarterstaff, Sleep Terror, Disgorge, Quo Vadis, Stargazer. Also doom metal is making a comeback in general, and we all know how that went.
