Yea, I've actually managed to get over most of my OCD symptoms now and I don't think I'm nearly as bad as I used to be.

I actually think I've had every symptom described in the Wikipedia article here.

It's only been this year that I realized I have OCD.

I never knew what it was for most of my life. If I did something like scratch my arm I would get the urge to scratch the other arm and things like that. In class if a teacher erases writing on the board and leaves a tiny mark of chalk then it will bother me to look at the board. For a time that I think lasted over a year I had to blink a certain number of times before I would let myself go to sleep.

Then once I found out what it was, I started hearing about the disorder constantly and I know that I'm not the only person who experiences this.

Yea, I see how this makes me seem like a bad friend. It wasn't as much that I was going out of my way to flirt with her though. I could tell she liked me, and she later told me that she only likes Steve as a friend and that she probably wouldn't have had a relationship with her.

At this point though, what would probably be the best way to handle the situation?

You've probably heard of this happening countless times.

My best friend Steve likes this girl who he's friends with, and we hung out with her yesterday. By the end of the day she was all over me, to sum it up. When we walked back to Steve's house, it was just me and him and I could tell he was hurt because he wasn't talking at all. I told him that if he was pissed off that I understood, and he responded with "alright." Today, I hung out with her again and we are now going out.

Steve and I have still been joking around over Myspace to each other so it doesn't seem like he is too hateful towards me right now, but I don't know if he knows that we are going out yet.

So I want to know if you think I am wrong for dating her in the first place even though I know that my friend likes her, and if you can give me any advice to help maintain my friendship.

The only reason I ever wear a belt is if my pants are too big for me and they don't stay up.

I have never had someone mention anything to me because I wasn't wearing a belt with my jeans.

if I had to choose one the one song that I cannot stand the most, it would have to be London Bridge by Fergie.

I hear no musical talent at all in this song and the lyrics are stupid to the point that I actually started laughing when I first heard it.

I seriously hate it when I see someone says they hate Myspace without giving any good reason as to why. It's a good way to keep in touch with friends, display pictures of yourself, or advertise a band. I made a lot of friends when I went on a cruise, the only way I've been able to keep in touch with some of them was through Myspace.

Yes there are a lot of idiots and emos who use Myspace, but there is nothing forcing you to interact with them or be associated with them just by using the web site.

Most of you who insult Myspace only seem to because you think it makes you "cool" because it's what most here do.

Quite sad that that happens with people.

Yea you can pity them and be nice to them, but it doesn't end up helping them. In the long run if someone realizes that they aren't funny at all and they eventually learn how to actually be funny from realizing what truly isn't, I think that's the best solution.

Like after the first crap joke? Yeah, that's the better option because if you wait until later, you are just going to make them upset, cray then turn emo.

Not literally of course.

I'm thinking more about those guys in class who have no friends whatsoever, who spend all day trying time after time to make everyone laugh by commenting everything that happens, without realizing that they aren't funny at all. The kind of people who will ask to borrow money at lunch over and over again expecting you to somehow find it funny.

I've found that fake laughter tends to spawn these pricks.

It's kind of better to just straight up tell someone their joke sucked. When you pretend to laugh at something that isn't funny, whoever said it will be encouraged to keep on trying. They usually continue to fail, and they become extremely annoying if it goes too far.

But at the same time I hate to be in the situation where I tried to say someting funny and it just failed.

But that's why I tend to think things over before i say it.

Since I've joined these forums I have seen more blind attacks at rap in this thread than I have at rock in the entire forum. Rap haters may be a stereotype but they are a true stereotype. On these forums the same can not be said for rock haters.
One thing I find particularily amusing about this thread is the fact that, in some fruitless bid to convince otheres that rock is superior, the 'rap haters' are only further developing the steryotype that they are trying to rid.
What I don't understand is why people feel the need to bash other genres. If you're close-minded enough to decide that you dislike an entire genre of music then thats fine, provideing you don't then start preacing at everyone who doesn't have the same tastes in music as you do.
If I was to look through my music library I'd probabally find that about 30% of my library was rap and about 10% was rock. The reason why I have much more rap is simple because I've had much more exposure to it. I also prefer mainstream rap over mainstream rock.

On a closing note.
50 Cent has sold over 21 million albums yet acording to you guys he's a tallentless hack who cant rap for shit. So if he can sell 21 million albums then surely you guys could sell at least 1 million albums without any trouble. Couldn't you?

This guy is almost entirely right. I don't get how most of you can't look past the fact that the topic starter probably didn't make this topic trying to stereotype an entire group of people, but he was probably just writing it the way he did expecting you all to get the message he was trying to explain. So instead of discussing the topic he brought up the way it was intended to be, you dissect every detail of what he wrote and flame the shit out of him because he has a different opinion than you.

You can't possibly tell me that there is not a huge amount of people who blindly insult rap and try to force their views on others just because they don't like the music. Half of the people in this thread seem like these kinds of people.

The topic starter was just trying to address what he sees happening all the time.

Girls I've found like us when we have a good sense of humor, good looks, and basically just not being shy tends to help a lot. I've also seen a lot of guys who aren't that good looking who can get a lot of girls because they have a good sense of humor and because of how they're outgoing.

Within the past week.

First, on Monday an eleventh grader was riding a skateboard down a hill. He fell off and had internal bleeding to his brain (Coincidentally the accident happened in front of my house, without me realizing it). He died in the hospital on Tuesday.

Yesterday a twelfth grader was driving home after school. The roads were icy, and she drove her car into a tree. She was in the hospital in critical condition and has now reportedly died.

I didn't know either of them, but this just seems weird to me. I wonder what it will be like when I go back to school on Monday.
