Dude.
Fuck off.
This guy's my best fucking friend, I'm allowed to be excited to see him after 5 years.

And I don't know why you're saying congrats on the wedding thing -- it's for my friend's brother, who I've only met once.

Put some shaving cream in the toilet and flush it down, then shave so that the smell in there won't seem out of place.

Seems kind of weird to me that they sent you physical mail notifying you about online courses.
Why not email?

My best friend's comin up :D Posted August 30th, 2007 in General

Hey everyone.
So, my friend Fabio's brother's getting married near me mid-september, and he's coming to my house for like, a week :D
I've known him for as long as I can remember...
I used to hang out at his house near every day...
Then one day they had to move to Montana, on the other side of the US, because his dad's a doctor and malpractice lawsuits were getting bad around here (also mo' money over there).
So I've not seen him in like 5 years, but I talk to him about everyday on the phone (he's got dial up where he's currently living... they don't have any other internet in his area. He's moving to his house soon though... they're still building it).
So anyways, just thought I'd share that with you.
I'm taking the week off of school to hang out, and I'm just really freaking excited =D

Response to: 3 fucking days... Posted August 30th, 2007 in General

I go back Tuesday.
I, personally, can't wait.
I'm a wreck without a schedule... All summer I've been pretty unhygienic, and it's disgusting, even to me.
But it feels like I took a shower just yesterday, so I'll take one later, but in all reality, it's been like, 2 days, sometimes 3 days.
Luckily I'm getting a job mid-November when I turn 15, so I'll have a year-round schedule to keep me straight, then I can enjoy summer more, and have moneys.

I, personally, would rather have something with more interactivity... This actually gives you more options to make your desktop NEATER then it currently is, what with stacks and so forth.

I personally am going mad waiting for the release.
I won't use it apart from the first 10-15 minutes.

:o
Really?
Goodness.
I honestly think that it will be very interesting to be able to organize like that.
Not to play around with it (though that will be awesome too), but to actually use it as a tool of organization... Keep your photos in piles, fan your videos out like a deck of cards, stack notepad files on the wall...

Response to: Where's this background? Posted August 29th, 2007 in General

God, that background fucking sucks.
I hate Windows 98.
Agh.
That was the background that I had on my computer... This was back when I was like, 6 or 7... We had gotten a new computer, and nobody knew how to change the background (it was our first computer... we were inexperienced), so I had to look at that POS background every fucking day.

Hey.
Just figured I'd share this with the community.
This is something I've been waiting well over a year for, but is still in development.
Possibly the most clever and bestest thing to ever come to the Desktop... Bumptop.
Believe me when I say, this thing will positively revolutionize the way we look at computers, and when word of mouth starts up this thing will be huge.
Every day that this program is not released a little part of me dies on the inside.
Check it out.
I'm doing you a favour.

At 8/29/07 06:48 PM, g113 wrote: If you've had programming experience before, ActionScript is actually fairly easy to pick up. AS: Main here on the NG Forums has a few good tutorials from what I've seen.

Well, I program PHP and Javascript and I know HTML and CSS markup, just no desktop programming languages, and I hear that AS' syntax is most similar to C++ then anything else.
Also, I didn't know that AS had a Main. Thanks for the link

If you're just starting to learn AS though, you may want to consider learning AS3 instead of AS2. AS3 has quite a few improvements over it's predecessor, and it's likely that you'll have to migrate to AS3 anyways even if you learn 2.

Well, I have flash 8, and don't plan on getting CS3 anytime soon :P

Well, guy teachers are pretty awesome most of the time.
My science teacher last year was like a friend, but still got his job done.
But my favourite teacher last year was female.
She was just really freaking cool.
For instance, occasionally in class when we didn't have anything to do, she'd let us watch MTV.
Not a treat for me, I don't like MTV very much, but it was awesome, because that was just something that a teacher isn't supposed to do, especially with the cursing and shit.
And she was just all around understanding and very cool.

Hi there.
I'm looking for a new programming language to learn, and figured why not AS2?
I love games, always wanted to make them, so it seems like a logical idea.
Sooo, I have a question for you AS2 programmers here.
Well, 2 questions, actually.

1) How difficult is Actionscript to learn?
2) Could you possibly link me to any beginners tutorials that you think are good? I mean, I could google it, but I think I'll get better results asking someone who actually knows the language.
Thank you!
