I only use 2.

Because I'm a web designer and a large variety helps a crapload.

Yes... Yes I did.

Reset XP Fonts? Posted October 7th, 2007 in General

Well, I recently downloaded 25K+ fonts, and put them all in my fonts folder.
Now when I try and use the font tool in any program, the program freezes, unable to load all the fonts.
My font folder will not open.
Is there any way I can reset my fonts?

Hi there.
I'm working on a portfolio for my partner and I, and I need to know how to make it so that it can display a txt or html file in the flash to make the site easier to update.
I know it's possible with txt, and i'm hoping with html as well so that we can include images.
Any help appreciated.

And if you didn't know this, when copying those, just replace "ng.css" at the top with one of those, not the whole URL.

If this hasn't been pointed out enough to you, you're quite a bit late.
It bothered me for a few days, now I'm used to it.

Fuck you.
It's hilarious.
And don't say that we don't care or whatever because we laugh -- A very, very good family friend of ours just found out she has breast cancer.
But, this is still fucking hilarious.

I guess I'll just need to make a few to practice with.

Design my Room! Posted October 2nd, 2007 in Game Development

Hi there.
I'm getting a new bed Saturday, so I decided to make a close-to-scale (/5 scale) blueprint of my bedroom and all the major furniture (there are some small things, but they don't matter too much... I can get rid of them if I have no room, but I will have room).
Basically, I've made a .fla with 2 layers.
One for the furniture, one for the stuff that the furniture cannot go over (the stuff in red (you can go in front of the window with my desk if needed, but nothing else)).
The bottom layer is locked so you can just move around the top layer and organize the furniture.

Here's what the red shit is;

Top-left: Door
Left:Closet
Bottom: Vent and window

Baddabing.
Please help me out if you can -- I can't think of anything, and if you make something cool, I might use it and take pictures and shit. I need something creative ;)
Here's the .fla
Please export your images in Flash and host them on ngup.net

This could be a fun project :)

I've never evenn seen one of these charcoal pencils.

I've always just used the charcoal as is, in the same manner that you'd use a pencil.

I tended to use my fingers for shading by lightly smudging the charcoal where necessary after applying it.

I tried that, but then you have a dark-ass line of charcoal... You can't smudge the whole thing :(

I just want to use it for shading though.
And it's an amazing shading tool... Absolutely amazing.

Which she is, but I mean if you do it wrong it will look like you cut the shapes out of paper and glued it together.
I took a charcoal class, and I got to say it's better to start with charcoal, then add the lines after.
IMO.
Good luck!

Thanks for all your advice, but frankly, I learned all of that in art 2 years ago.
Only thing is, back then we used paper rolled up like a pencil and all stuck together (the paper was adhesive), and we covered the top half in charcoal and used that, so it wasn't so strong.
I'm using charcoal sticks.

Shading with Charcoal? Posted October 2nd, 2007 in Art

Hiya.
I recently bought a crapload of new art equipment, including some charcoal.
I'd really, really love to shade with it, but I didn't get one of those paper things that are shaped with pens to put it on or anything... Just sticks of charcoal.
I was wondering how I could do this?
You could explain or link me, either way it's appreciated
:)
Here's what I want to shade, since I have to start this topic with art...
It's Orihime from Bleach.

Internet TV Station? Posted September 29th, 2007 in General

Hiya.
I'm looking for a good internet TV station that I used to go on. I forget the name of it... Used to have it bookmarked, but I had to format and lost it.
It was all user-contributed stuff... It was a community, and it was great.
I believe it had the Something Awful logo, so it may have been in the same network, but I can't find it anywhere.
It was just 1 channel... Not multiple things, just one, on the front page, with an upcoming list of shows and a list of what was played recently.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
