Save and compact shouldn't have deleted it. It should still be fine. If worst comes to worse, you can import swf files.

You need a 3.o BA if your a starting/hosting one... the actual joiners can be whatever...

It's also possible that the symbols are messing it up. (Sometimes the symbols make the sound lag.)
