The reason why so many people bring that up is because in the presidential elections, Obama won New Jersey by so many votes. Now Obama is advertising for Corzine like hell, and if Corzine loses, it goes to show you people are not as behind as Obama as they once were.

Election night. Posted November 3rd, 2009 in Politics

Not sure if another thread was created, so go ahead and lock it if there was.

Today is election day in America.

Currently, two governor races in New Jersey and Virginia. So far the Republicans won Attorney General, Lt. Governor, and Governor of Virginia. New Jersey (My home state) is still pending, so far it seems we are leaning to Chris Christie, a Republican candidate. I am surprised how great he is doing, considering New Jersey is very democratic and Obama came here and endorsed Corzine, the democratic governor a lot.

Thoughts on any of this? Does this mean Americans are starting to lose confidence in Obama?

Anyway, getting all technical, Capitalism doesn't work.
Sure, it works in the short run, but seriously, look how much damage capitalism has done since it's gone unchecked?
Global warming. Reccession. Market Crashes. Petrol prices increasing.

How the fuck does capitalism have to do with global warming? Any society can produce enough greenhouse gases, and it isn't even proven if humans are causing global warming or not.

The recession started when the government took control of the banks and forced them to give loans out to everyone, thus amounting in tons of bad loans causing the recession. That is NOT capitalism, that is socialism.

Market crashes are going to happen no matter what, any society. Socialism is not immune to this.

Micheal Moore claims wealth has to be redistributed to everyone and not just given to the wealthy.

Capitalism creates wealth and allows anyone to lose it or gain it.

He has no idea what capitalism is first of all, wealth can be created, not just redistributed.

Socialism is bad because it is too much for the government to manage.

Maybe in small nations, but it really can't work that well in huge nations that require tons of management.

Look at Medicare, look at Social Security. Both you can say "socialist" programs and they are failing, besides I want to have a say in my healthcare, not the government.

Left 4 Dead 2 is racist.

You shouldn't go around killing blacks, even if they are zombified. It is too close to black slavery, I say we ban this game from ever coming on shelves. This game is a vile-trash of pure hatred for black people.

I was a warrior with a small army of about 50 people and we were hiding in the weeds by my house.

This could represent some of the people who you are on good terms with, or friendly with, etc.

I also had some tiny dreams last night. One was my mom was sitting on the couch with pizza on the stand nearby. We happened to have her homemade pizza today. Another one was me taking my allergy medicine and I happened to wake up with a runny nose, itchy eyes, sore throat, etc.. Small stuff, but almost like I was predicting the future.

Speaking of which, I just sort of thought of something.

A long time ago, I made a post in this thread about how my dreams were making horror movies, one horror movie included me watching the deaths of the people in the dream. I forget EXACTLY what happened, but reading from my post, there was an ambulance driving full speed at two people dodging the cars. Eventually they got hit.

Post in this page: http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic/9031 36/42

Well, soon after that dream, a few months later one of my friend's mom died in a car accident while crossing the street. Kind of creepy if you ask me.

Also update:

It seems as if when I turn off all the lights in my room, the floor, walls begin to crack A LOT more then when I have a light on.

I think that is just fear, like sometimes when I read something really creepy or scary I keep looking behind me and have a sense something is ready to get me.

Neither do dreams where I am spiderman mean much, aside from being fun, though they may have some hidden meaning in them. Yes, my dreams offer night time entertainment, aside from the serious stuff lol. Really, my dreams can get very weird, but often fun.

When they do mean something, they feel different though. More of an edge to them. That's what I watch out for. I also remember more of my serious dreams.

That is the thing though- dreams are not 100% accurate. If you watched something on TV, lets say something similar to what Fro said, people killing zombies, then you had a dream about killing zombies, it doesn't LITERALLY mean you will kill zombies. However, it could have thousands of meanings- Some simple ones like you may watch a movie that involves a zombie (Of course, this is pretty common, but the dream could still represent this). Or that you may encounter someone who is acting like a zombie. Hell, it may not even relate to a zombie. Maybe it could mean you will watch a horror movie.

Here is another example, lets say you just finished watching a zombie movie, you go to bed and dream of zombies swarming your house. You are running around your house checking to make sure everything is barricaded well so the zombies don't get in and kill you. Then, a helicopter flies over your house and drops an officer, he gets you out of there and you thank him. Dream over.

In real life, you may lose something and frantically go around your house searching for it, in which the dream related to you that you are in stress and checking the barricades to make sure zombies can't get in, just like in real life that you are stressed searching for something.

It could also mean you might meet a guy who found your wallet and gave it back.(In the dream in which the guy rescues you from the house).

The dream took elements of the zombie movie you watched, put a real life situation along with it, and made it into a dream.

Just because there are zombies or something unreal like that, it doesn't mean the dream will literally represent zombies and unreal things like that. You just have to look past the main theme of a dream and look at the minor things or things that simply correspond to the main theme of the dream.

Now of course, I am not saying you are wrong, and I am right. You could very well be right that dreams don't have meaning.

I doubt all dreams have meaning for the future. I mean when I stay up all night playing zombie games and I end up having a dream where I'm shooting zombies I doubt it has any message for me in the future.

I think some dreams mean things for the future, some the past, some the unknown, and some are just your mind going through things you did in the day.

I will give an example, recently I had a dream about a bee landing on me. I stayed VERY still so it wouldn't sting me.
I'm allergic to bees. I would have cried. ; _ ;

Then a week later, I walked into my bathroom and I saw a bee. The dream related that I will come into contact with a bee, it wasn't dead on accurate though, the bee didn't touch me like it did in the dream.
I honestly run into a bee everyday. If I had a dream about a bee then it wouldn't mean a thing. :/ I think thats too common to use as an example.

Yeah I figured that too, but it wasn't like I ran outside and saw a bee. I walked into the bathroom and spotted a bee on the sink, trust me I have A LOT more dreams that related in some way to common/uncommon situations I had later on.

I believe here on Earth, we are a Future-Based society, think about it. If dreams really do have some strange meaning to all of them, why would they tell us something that already happened?

Response to: Ghost / Supernat. Club Posted August 21st, 2009 in Clubs & Crews

Hello guys.

I didn't read the last few pages, but I will catch up later.

Lately I have been studying my dreams lately, it seems as if I can interpret them much better. Let me say one thing: All dreams have a meaning to it, you can't just have a random dream. The dream must relate to something that will happen. Of course, these dreams aren't dead on accurate.

I will give an example, recently I had a dream about a bee landing on me. I stayed VERY still so it wouldn't sting me.

Then a week later, I walked into my bathroom and I saw a bee. The dream related that I will come into contact with a bee, it wasn't dead on accurate though, the bee didn't touch me like it did in the dream.

Another example: Say if you have a dream you are marrying someone you know in real life, you may not ACTUALLY marry that person, but the dream could represent that your relationship with that particular person will boost or good things are to come from it.

Dreams are very hard to interpret. Despite me knowing how to interpret them a bit better, I still have no clue as to what most of them mean. You just have to wait and see. Like last night I had a dream where I got to my house and the door was slightly open, I assumed there was a robber in the house. So I ran through every room in my house with a bat only to find nothing.

We as a society have adapted well to computers, over the years we began making adjustments and slowly raising our dependence in computers.

It isn't like if computers stopped working, everything would go back to how it was in the 30's/40's/50's. Oh no, not by a longshot. Just think, everything they had in the 30's wasn't computer built, now all the things we have now that they had in the 30's are involved with computers in someway.

It would be a huge mess, violence would skyrocket, crime would too, etc. Eventually the remaining areas on Earth that survived through this whole mess will be able to adapt to life without computers and slowly absorb the rest of the world in with it.
