I feel like you're trying to fill in spaces with repeated drawings and slow motion tweens. The drawings are good, but it kind of dragged on towards the end, and I lost interest. What wasn't motion tweened (ie the swimming) also seemed really awkward, since I think I only saw 3-4 frames looped over and over again. I realize that drawing each frame and making more frame-by-frame is annoying and time-consuming, but it pays off when it looks really good in the end. To me, it seems like you made a bunch of nice drawings, and wanted to force the images to last an entire song.
Webufs, you pretty much hit the nail on the head with that one. All my animations so far (not many, this is my 3rd one) have used tweens for everything. This is actually the first one that IâEUTMve done that uses a little frame by frame. IâEUTMll try and add a little more in the next few days. Maybe IâEUTMll have the fish move around their fins or something to liven the animation up a bit where it drags near the end.

I think over all animation doesn't have much Fbf, but as said the derpyiness works out all together could make the blood shots not lines but like bigger and have a tint of the water color on the blood, also I like the concept and idea ever doing another short and need someone that know pretty good Fbf id like to talk :D

LazyAss23, thatâEUTMd be sick. As for the blood, maybe IâEUTMll add some blurred blood to it so it doesnâEUTMt look so sharp and linear. I just hope it doesnâEUTMt take up too much CPU to run it. And like I was telling Webufs, Fbf isnâEUTMt my forte so maybe down the road man.
I appreciate the feedback guys.

Really that's all I can say, otherwise I enjoyed it. You have a nice cartoony style.
None taken. I actually tried to make everything, not just the swimming, as derpy as possible. If the swimming animation looks too awkward, I may tweak it a little bit. I appreciate the feedback.

Looks great man. The zooming in and out with the camera makes it that much cooler.
I remember watching his animations wayyy back in the day. They were awesome. R.I.P. Randy.
Hey everybody,
I'm in the process of making a flash animation for school. it's about 2/3's animated already, but I still need to write an ending... I'm looking to make it quick and punchy. Anyone have any thoughts?
If I like any suggestions I'll make sure to add a thanks in the credits.
Originally I was going to have the boy make friends with the robot. Over time the boy would gradually grow tired of him and makes new friends, but it just doesn't feel right. I also had an idea of him blowing up in the boys face but my teacher didn't like that idea, hehe. I have a couple weeks before its due so time isn't really on my side. So if anyone has any random ideas throw 'em out.
Also, if any animators out there knows how to stop the choppiness in the video when I export, it'd be huge HUGEEE

Hey everybody,
At the moment, I don't have an ending for this animation. Anyone have any thoughts?

Doesn't seem to matter if its on the top layer or not. It's on the top layer in the picture I uploaded (2nd link down).

At least, that's the only difference I can spot
No go, I wonder what the issue is. The file .fla I downloaded from http://bryanheisey.com/blog/?page_id=19 works perfectly in its own .fla. Only when I transfer the VCam over to my project does it not seem to want to work.
Whats up,

This is a scene from the animation I'm working on right now. I just discovered the VCam today so maybe someone knows something. If you watch the scene there's a split second delay when the VCam appears on screen.

Here's a pic of the timeline.
The only thing I changed was the VCam's visibility but the delay was there before I even changed it. I'm running CS4 with Action Script 2.

^^^^ This is the AS I am using ^^^^
Btw after a few cycles the timing gets really off because the movie clip and scene have a different number of frames.
Any Ideas?
